I sadly missed the Madrid gig as I had an exam at Uni the following day (it was on a Sunday if I remember correctly and there was no way for me to go back to where I was living after the gig). The exam got postponed and I am still regretting not going to the concert!
Fortunately, I got to see...
Why would I criticise Maiden on this thread? :P
Ah, you wanted me to criticise the Manics! I sometimes wish they were more openly political on recent albums and less introspective, but they are in their mid-50s. I am not as revolutionary as I once was...
The Chemical Wedding is one of my desert island discs, and it would be nice to see Bruce doing something as good again. Here's hoping the next solo album is a return to form! :edmetal:
Life would be very boring if we all liked the same things. :)
I've seen the Manics live twice this year (small album launch gig in Kingston-upon-Thames in February and then a gig on the UK tour at the thankfully renamed Bristol Beacon in April) and the latter is arguably the best concert I have...
I have not unwrapped it yet as I am waiting to finish reading 168 Songs of Hatred and Failure: A History of Manic Street Preachers by Keith Cameron first.
If you can wait, I will let you know what I think as soon as possible (possibly early next week).
Motorcycle Emptiness is THE song, as @MindRuler can corroborate. :)
Generation Terrorists is good, but it contains a fair amount of filler material. My favourite albums are Everything Must Go and The Holy Bible.
You can find my thoughts on their whole discography up to The Ultra Vivid Lament...
I am not sure if this has been shared here, but Rufus Books have a couple of new releases that could interest Maiden fans (or Maidenfans):
Portraits of Iron Maiden - An unofficial book featuring hundreds of photos from the Paul DiAnno years.

I would say so, asking people to not stress if they do not manage to get tickets when presales are usually such a clusterfuck. Anyway, feel free to agree to disagree. :)
