I love that Nicko will still get out and play some even though he can no longer do the tours.
Loved that he played The Parchment. I wish they could have done this one over Celts but it was all good.
I hear ya. My only wish for the current tour is they could fit in Infinite Dreams.
Has Nicko ever done New Frontier with Tart? You would think he would considering it's his only Maiden writing credit.
I think I've previously posted here about this before but....
As a band that's not known for change I commend them for trying something new and bold, for them. Yes, I loved the old school theatrics of LOTB but I'm also really digging the big screen. I've always thought they could do so much...
Actually it was 1996 for me. I remember leaving a small club after hearing Blaze painfully croaking through the 3 song encore thinking my favorite band was finished. And then VXI didn't change that sentiment.
Is it just me or should the drummer have toned down his stage theatrics to keep the focus on Ozzy? I mean it might be the way he usually plays but was it really necessary for Ozzy's final bow?
I've never been good at making Top "X" lists but here goes...
This is how I feel atm. I've recently found a newer appreciation for Fear of the Dark.
1.The Number Of The Beast
2. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
3. Somewhere In Time
4. Powerslave
5. Piece Of Mind
6. Killers
7. Senjutsu
8. Iron...
Not triggered, just disagreeing. Trooper Ale came out in 2013. The song was huge before then. If it wasn't they would have named the beer something else for their first one I would think.
That is true. But the point was and is, Trooper was never an "also ran"
My thoughts:
Hell on Earth, widely regarded as the best song on Senjutsu.
Drifter, concert staple thru their first 3 albums.
Blood Brithers, done on multiple tours and a fav of BNW
Moonchild, used as the opener on a couple...
The Trooper has always been a staple in their set. Encore in 1992 and both tours with Blaze with a quick search. You don’t put an "also ran" in the encore. The song gets arguably the biggest pop at their shows. It's an Iconic song.
