I believe it was around the time Senjutsu was released. IIRC I think it was along with toying with the idea of playing all of Senjutsu live (which I would have loved). But if there is ever going to be a show for the hardcore fans I'd like what I said earlier - made up primarily of rarely played...
After RFYL in 2026 hopefully we get a new album tour or something really different. Bruce had an idea to do a scaled down, smaller show for hardcore fans. It would be cool to see a show primarily of rarely/never played songs. I would name that tour "Eddie's Oddities". Doubtful they would do...
I was at the show at the Spectrum last year as well. I'm a big guy and I don't recall the seats being an issue. I would prefer they come to Atlanta next year but hope they would play Ameris Bank Amphitheater or State Farm Arena (indoor) instead of Lakewood.
Let's not start any conspiracy theories. Nicko was just joking about the size of Simon's kit. He also said he was "doing a splendid job and thank you all for welcoming him into the Maiden family." Stepping down was his decision, he said he went to Steve about it. He also just said he didn't want...
The drapes and props are great but they would be hard pressed to top LOTB. Changing physical sets take time and interrupt the flow of the show. I like the screens, you don't have that problem with them. Plus you can do so much more with the screens.
I hate to say it but I had a bad feeling he was going to pass away soon. He got his wish to perform one last time. That's what he was living for the last few years I think. RIP Prince of Darkness. Now go to the Light.
Again apples and oranges. If Maiden were to do a fun for them set instead of formulating a setlist to appeal to the masses (for a classics/hits tour) it would be just as varied as Nicko's.

Maiden and Priest are my two favorite bands but I'm not particularly fond of the Blaze and Ripper eras. I have grown to like XF and Ripper did do a good live album with Priest though. But I would have to give the nod to Martin Sabbath. Headless Cross :edmetal:

I imagine there were fuckups in the 80s as well, just nobody had smart phones back then to document them all.
