The Genesis of Somewhere in Time

I couldn't give less of a shit about collector's box sets and endless live releases of the same songs over and over again. What do Metallica fans get out of hearing progressively worse versions of Enter Sandman time and time again? If anything it's a lazy cash grab that cheapens the music. I'm...

which legendary movie of the past 60 years would you like to see redone with Steve Harris in the main role?

I feel like he wouldn't be out of place in David Lynch's Dune.

    the better DiAnno album

    Killers is just so metal.

    Stratego

Sounds more like Helloween or something. Definitely not Somewhere in Time. None of the Maiden guys play anything like this.

    Kevin Shirley’s production of Senjutsu

I think people who don't like it want it to sound more modern and polished. Not sure if that sound would really fit Maiden.

I kinda like this thread the way it is.

The guy dies and you're mad about an album review from 25 years ago? This is the shittiest shit I've ever read on this board. Grow up.

Please post reviews and thoughts on Senjutsu here

I'd say it's my second favorite "reunion era" album. The song arrangements and lyrics are on different level than TBOS with maybe one or two exceptions. I think it's Maiden's most mature album and I'm excited to see what else they can do on the next one.

Yeah, I believe you've spewed enough "rumors and urban legends" for one day.

A theory regarding Maiden History part 4

The History series is probably dead. But a brand new documentary by Banger Films spanning their entire career could be a big hit.

    Bruce nasty to fans??

The guy has millions of fans but only one life. Same for all public figures. To me it seems impossible to sign every autograph and to shake every hand. Maybe it's time we give people their privacy.

    Least favourites on Senjutsu

I'm all for keyboards and I like the texture it adds but I wish they would've picked a different preset. They choose some strange sounds at times.

    Least favourites on Senjutsu

Lost in a Lost World is really one of my favorites. The intro and outro are two of my favorite moments on the album and everything in between really reminds of an X Factor track but better. The way Bruce delivers the chorus, especially the first time, is really big. I like the way he belts the...

    Least favourites on Senjutsu

Seems like Lost in a Lost World is one of lower ranked songs on this album but I really love it. Same with The Time Machine.
  17. The Garlon

    Least favourites on Senjutsu

Death of the Celts is probably my least favorite but I certainly wouldn't call it a clunker. I'd argue there aren't any clunkers on Senjutsu.

How old were you when you started listening to Maiden and which 3 albums did you buy first?

The guitar sound suffered without him for sure. Maiden with just Janick and Dave was a much thinner sound and far less innovative than what Dave and Adrian were doing in the 80's.

How old were you when you started listening to Maiden and which 3 albums did you buy first?

It was 2003 and I was in the 6th grade. My first ever album (not just Maiden) was Powerslave and I've been hooked ever since. My next 2 albums were Piece of Mind and Dance of Death (brand spankin' new at the time). Maiden were not only my first but also inspired me to pick up guitar and make my...
