How could McKay bring the tour to a stop just from song writing accusations? Neither HBTN case stopped them touring. Also, bit of a dick move for the hundreds of thousands of fans wanting to see the tour regardless of who wrote the songs.

As far as I am aware legal action is not taking place and no official statements have been made about it. The MetClub forums would be in chaos if this was the case.

Out of the greatest hits/history tours from 1999, 2003, 2005, 2008/2009 and 2012-2014 only one has had a live album and that was probably considered more than on the other tours because they scrapped the prior album tour live release. From reading the article and looking at the wording, I don’t think he is completely saying that they are chucking out the standards. To me that sounds like he wants them to shake up their performance of particular songs as they have been the same for a while. Maybe he means set placements...

For some reason I carried a lot of Maiden setlist misconceptions for a while. According to me Rainmaker and FTGGOG were played in 2010 and Early Days tour had Icarus and Fear. It’s not like I hadn’t listened to relevant bootlegs either!

I have just compared the lyrics of the two songs and I noticed there is only one line that is completely identical. Personally, I want to know why the members of Beckett took so long to care, if they were bothered about artistic integrity then they would have done this twenty odd years before...

I’m intrigued as to which other songs the nefarious Harris/Murray duo have been copying other songs with like this member of Beckett says.

Pretty sure these people would complain if they played ONE new song. I bet many of these types of fans couldn’t fill a full setlist with songs they know from whichever band they are seeing.

What about all of the reports of people at shows complaining about too many new songs or wanting 2MTM, RTTH and TETMD instead of CotD, SSOASS and Powerslave?

Edit: nevermind, I hadn’t realised the rib cage and extended brain were on the final version. Pretty gruesome, I prfer the final version because it is darker and gives more meaning...

You are right but I think the people wanting a greatest hits show every time might disagree.

I feel like SBIT had less of a choice on being similar to Ed Huntour though. Tbf, I’m very happy with them playing songs that have been absent for 10+ years, it’s just that two tours lacking in a strong theme having similar setlists looks less imaginitive (I’m picking holes).

It also seems quite similar to the GMETID setlist, although some would argue similar tours is not exactly new. I feel like they really are risking making the history tours redundant in terms of ‘last chance to hear’ too.

Not to mention that it is nearly 50% post 80s stuff. For once them not following their own predescription of a tour could make it ‘better’ but who’s to say Still Life, Killers, To Tame a Land, SIASL and 22AA wouldn’t be considered?
