Voting for OPETH, plus Bolt Thrower and Riverside.
Listened to both for the first time in the last day and they are both amazing albums. Those Once Loyal is an absolute powerhouse of groovy death metal and it's consistently badass (especially the bass tone and prominence).
I can't believe more...
I like Angel of Retribution.
I like Tyranny of Souls.
I like Deadwing.
But I fucking adore Ghost Reveries.
I will also be giving some of these a listen this week for the first time (probably Riverside, Bolt Thrower, maybe Gojira).
We’re all just talking in circles. They will not learn. They will not think for themselves. They will not progress. They are failed.
All of the conservatives have left this thread crying “oppression” because they are so disgustingly blind that they have already fallen off a cliff or they know...
I’m sure the Trump supporters around here will pop in to leave a laughing face emoji, not respond, and then fuck right off back to their middle-class existence to pretend that they’re “winning”.
Trump is federalizing DC police and deploying the national guard. DC will soon be a completely fascist police state, all to protect a pedophile, rapist, lying piece of absolute fucking shit.

- he wants to have some people come onstage for guest spots on a couple songs (not...

Voting for:
Clutch - amazing album! It might not be strictly metal (hard rock/heavy blues/whatever) but it rules. Give it a listen, folks.
Megadeth - the first half of this album is incredible! Probably Dave’s best songwriting and performance in the last 30 years. The second half falls off...
We’ll see what the competition looks like for future years, but I can see a Maiden album losing out from the top spot again. The fan base is pretty divided on the reunion albums going forward except for AMOLAD.
I don’t think any other Dream Theater album is going to take a top spot, though...
