Nice. Primitive  How things have changed in such a short space of time.
When did the official Maiden web site go online ? I have never tried it. I know you have to pay, in recent years.... Is that anything to do with why this place started, or just down to a hardcore fan wanting to...
I was wondering about how this place came to be ? Did it start around 2003 ? The home page no longer seems to be updated, although this forum is active.
Just curious.
That's Maiden fans for you. Oh ! the excitement. This killing time (before any real news) thing is all part of the fun. Waiting for a new maiden album to be released.... Having a ticket in your hands, for a a forthcoming Maiden gig... I love those times almost as much as the event. Maiden active...
Sadly not, but that is a good question. I would also be interested in knowing what it costs, on average, to stage an arena gig. Hire of venue, all the gear, travel, crew etc.. and how much they (the band members) take from an individual gig?
Never mind all that !!!! I want some news.
So when do you think ? Summer album ? Will there be a single ? If so will it be released on vinyl or just download? Tour? America first?
This could be the last time we look forward to a new Maiden studio album folks. I love the feeling of expectation.
Everyone has their own opinions.....
Personally, I think Dance of Death is the best album they have made since Seventh Son. Closely followed by The Final Frontier.
Gig wise, I have enjoyed them all, but remember the energy of the Brave New World tour blowing me away. Could have been because it...
I have always understood that Clive was living a 'rock and roll' lifestyle, that was effecting his live performances, and that was the reason that he was replaced....
Totally agree with Harrisdevot there. Not just that Crossed eyed mary is my fav, but no way should or will that happen. I do however miss the B-Side covers. They have recorded some great ones over the years. Really enjoy Blazes Dr Dr. Trouble is, A and B sides are a thing of the past....:angry-:
Would love to hear Stranger in a strange land live. Gutted they didn't play Infinite Dreams on the recent 7th Tour re visit, as I missed the original tour.
Trawl ebay. As you know the date, you will have a fair chance of finding a copy or cuttings from that issue. May take some time, but things come up now and then. If you put the work in, you will find it.
I do remember being quite upset by the news. I received a press release letter from the fan club. Think I still have it. Back in the Kieth Wilfort days.... Now I feel old ! Sure this has been said, not read all the posts, sorry. Saw them twice on this tour and Jan dropped straight in. More to...
I think he had an "allergy" to singing tracks written for Bruce, multiple nights a week. It killed his voice.
That said, I have fond memories of seeing them in Wolverhampton, UK, on this tour. It was a great night.
UK edition is the same. (I don't know where you guys are posting from) Here, at the time of release it was reported that mainstream record shops such as HMV (recently bust) would not display the 'real' cover, as it was too gruesome for display. However, I suspect that this was a bit of crafty...
They changed the set a fair bit on that (long) tour. Take side 4 of Live after Death audio. 5 tracks not on the vid from the US. Also released Losfer Words and Murders in the Rue Morgue, live from that tour. So thats 7 different tracks from the live vid. Don't get that anymore.
