    Judas Priest

It's certainly a bigger run of venues than the last time Priest played in the UK, but that was in 2015 so apart from a couple of appearances at Bloodstock it will have been a long wait due to the Ozzy debacle, I think there is an appetite to see them particularly after Firepower was so well...

It's been 6 years since they last played Wrathchild...

    Now Playing (Video Games)

I have a friend who is really into Crusader Kings and speaks highly of it, I know the second one at least has quite a steep learning curve, but I think the third is a bit easier for beginners. If you are into mods I think there are some that will convert the setting of the game to the ancient...

    Now Playing (Video Games)

Age of Empires 2 is a strong contender for one of the best RTS games ever made, it's quite beginner friendly with a big community but the online multiplayer has a steep learning curve. The newer Definitive Edition looks great, runs well and has a ton of content. However it is medieval era rather...

    The Future Past tour 2023

The slow outro of Hell on Earth would be a good opportunity to pivot straight into a faster track right afterwards, like how Flight of Icarus followed up Sign of the Cross on the Legacy tour.

    Paul Di'Anno

At least it's cheaper and closer to home than seeing Ozzy at Power Trip Festival!

    The Future Past tour 2023

It's not so much requiring bargain basement prices, but rather if I'm paying a large sum of money to see a band I'm expecting something spectacular. I did hear that GNR were brilliant in 2018 though.

$600 would actually be a fair price if it didn't mean you were standing a mile away from the stage at the back of the field, it's really depressing that these price-segregated ticketing arrangements are becoming commonplace at stadium and festival shows in the UK as well, but as long as people...

    The Future Past tour 2023

Maybe the ticket prices are based on the combined age of the performers...

    The Future Past tour 2023

Power Trip Festival line-up confirmed to be real, complete with utterly obscene prices - General Admission tickets for the 3 days (i.e. back of the field) are $599 dollars, pit tickets and best seat tickets are $1599 dollars apiece.

That's interesting that you find some of the sections to be happy sounding, personally I have always found the lead guitar melodies to be mournful sounding, with a touch of yearning - I believe they are all in the E natural minor scale. Metal Hammer says the announcement will be around 3pm GMT.

If they didn't pad the show out to that length with interludes, solos etc. Axl's voice would probably give out halfway through.

    The Future Past tour 2023

The predecessor, Desert Trip, is estimated to be the highest grossing music festival ever, taking in around 130-160 million dollars worth of ticket sales - so yeah, not cheap.

    The Future Past tour 2023

After hearing the negative feedback from some of my friends who went to their shows at Tottenham last year, I'd be inclined to agree, although I strongly suspect anything Ozzy does 'live' at this point will be heavily backed up by vocal tracking, and could be a bit of a sad spectacle.

    The Future Past tour 2023

It was rumoured that the headliners for Desert Trip in 2016 (this Power Trip festival is kind of the sequel to Desert Trip) were paid 10 million dollars apiece, so yes, the organisers have deep pockets!

    Blaze Bayley

Maiden have posted on their social media outlets this morning wishing Blaze a quick recovery, to be fair to them.

    Blaze Bayley

Sad news indeed, here's hoping Blaze makes a full recovery.

    Bruce Dickinson

Hahah! At least when Maiden retire Bruce can have a lucrative career playing a medieval bard on TV and in film with this look.

    The Future Past tour 2023

As sad as it will be when Maiden do finally decide to call it a day, I would much rather they go out in good form and still able to perform good shows rather than become a parody like Kiss or have some kind of farcical series of delays and eventual cancellation like Ozzy - even if that means we...

    The Future Past tour 2023

My take on the motivation behind the Future Past Tour - for the last nearly 20 years Maiden have alternated between album tour and history/greatest hits tour. The band lost out on 2 years of touring due to the pandemic - given that they are aware they won't be around forever at this point they...
