    Favourite Christmas Song

My favorite Christmas song would have to be Father Christmas by The Kinks. Then Elton John's Step Into Chrismas. Welcome to my Christmas song I'd like to thank you for the year...

    Punk Rock

What's your favorite Cure album, Charlotte? I'd have to say mine is Japanese Wispers. I like their pre-Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me stuff alot better than everything after it. The 80's new wave sound really hit them on Kiss Me X3. I'm also not to fond of their albums after Wild Mood Swings.

    Trans-Siberian Wha?!

If you are willing to spend a good amount of money, get their box set, The Christmas Trilogy. They only have one album that isn't Christmas related. It's called Beethovan's Last Night. Christmas music or not, their music is great. I listen to them in the summer! [!--emo&:D--][img...

    Trans-Siberian Wha?!

I remember I went to go see them a couple years ago, and I wore my usual. Iron Maiden T. Check. Jeans. Check. Other random accessories (sweatbands, etc.). Check. Pumped up to rock attitude. Check. Well, I was told that they were a rock band with an orchestra and that they were playing in a...

    Dream Theater

I don't know if Dream Theater intended to have their songs linked from album to album, but I think some of them are. For instance, the main character in SFAM mentions that he been searching for a meaning or more meaning to his life (he may not directally say it, but I belive he does). You can...

    Punk Rock

Just out of curiosity, are any of you guys into punk rock? I'd have to say my favorites are (including post punk): Ramones Against Me! Necromantix Pixies Tiger Army The Misfits Joy Division ...and more! I would put The Cure on here, but I'm not good with categorizing bands in genres. (I think...

Judas Priest - The angel of retribution

I am the only person I have ever met (ha!) to say that Defenders of the Faith is my favorite. Angel of Retribution was decent album. Not anywhere near their best though. The Sentinel...Yes!

    NOW READING

I was Cristmas shopping, and I stumbled upon an excellent book. Bored of the Rings. Seems it's been around for almost 40 yrs. I'm not going to give any hints, but I bet you guys can't guess what it is a parody of.

Beethovan's Last Night is my favorite concept album. If anybody who doesn't have it is reading this, buy it. Now.

    In Flames

I saw these guys at Ozzfest. I'd have to say that they were one of the better bands there. (That isn't saying much, considering I tought most of the bands there wern't to good...)
  19. Maiden for Lunch

Why old things are so damn good?

What it all boils down to, is your taste. I personally, like Dream Theater better, because they have that "I-don't-know-what that just sounds better" you so speak of.

Leave the metal for the grownups

I went to this show when I was visiting a friend in Deleware. I was really surprised at the number of younger people wearing Maiden T's. Compared to the west coast of the U.S., Maiden in the east coast is about as popular as the latest They Might Be Giants album... [!--emo&:D--][img...
