    18th Studio Album discussion

Maybe it depends on the approach of the song (like Writing On The Wall). And would Maiden do that? Quite possible. This. Plus maybe he plays the secret game, who knows. Bruce likes to hype as we know, but what if the hint in the tour video is simply telling and would be obvious. Sometimes it's...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Without a doubt! I feel Seventh Son is one of the tour's highlights for them, so it won't go anywhere. Along with Rime and Hallowed. And probably the opening sequence. The likes of Hills, Powerslave, Aces, Fear, Wasted... sure.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

I thought about that maybe this POM big Eddie on the screen is probably better like this (ok, at least more effective) than if it was inflatable, and I'm not comparing it with the 2005 one. Unlike for example SIT or FOTD big ones. Like because of its approach(!) and style/art.

Bayley-era Maiden vs. Martin-era Black Sabbath vs. Ripper-era Judas Priest?

^I guess the KK's Priest albums are a good example of this.

    Nicko McBrain

You could say that, but I don't think it's fair to compare a cover band with no theme to the setlists and Maiden now (their set is almost perfect for its theme, tbh, so appealing?). And both setlists have 4-5 deep cuts (imo), so it's not far off. Plus, his set is mostly mid-tempo songs. Since...

Compilation from the Paris show. I love how Adrian praises Bruce for the long note in Seventh Son (28:42 and 28:53). :)

The sound can be an obstacle, but I wouldn't say that at all. Wow.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Time Machine wasn't that easy for Bruce live, but it was nice-to-good and definitely not as tough as Aces. Their rhythm sound has become much weaker both studio and live since 2010, unfortunately. I wouldn't say that. Simon is a more aggressive play drummer, yes. I like both.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

I don't feel there is a decline compared to the previous tour. And to me they sound overall better now than in 2022. Bruce for sure, since 2018. I agree that the setlist choices should be clever (Iron Maiden, Fear, Trooper and Number are the mandatory songs for them), but let's not forget that...

Maidenfans Best Album of The Millennium: 2002

Votes: Crimson Thunder - one of those albums that are all killer, no filler. A true HammerFall and power metal classic. A true favorite of mine. Century Child - symphonic metal classic, almost no weak songs. Nightwish at some of their best with some big songs. Love it. Tenth Dimension - Blaze...

    Helloween & Gamma Ray

https://blabbermouth.net/news/andi-deris-says-helloween-can-satisfy-all-generations-of-fans-with-reunited-expanded-classic-lineup That's so true and good. It seems Andi is a big fan of Paul and the first 2 Maiden albums. Bruce as a vocalist and many songs with him too.

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

This, but I would say Maiden need 3 guitars for their style since the Reunion. Janick is a brilliant and perfect addition to the band in every aspect! The band only have benefits. It's not about that, it's about if 3 guitars fit the band and the material. Janick joked that Steve's bass playing...

    18th Studio Album discussion

Yep. 2028 is the latest point (another extended gap, but then it should be released early in the year), but they wouldn't want to lose touring months of an year. If Nicko plays something on the album, they'll say he's still part of the band. Both him and the band will be happy, right? Bruce...

    18th Studio Album discussion

Simon's playing would have some influence, for sure (the longer songs, faster rockers), but still the style will be like the last two albums, more or less with maybe some classic/early days features. It's curious.

Watching the videos again, is Nicko's kit missing some of the pieces?

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

And it sounds not good at all. Idk, maybe Simon's stamina for long tours is not there, although it's not every night and for every song, plus the next part of the song is faster,so. There are more such comments in Youtube, which is not good. I can understand Bruce for some tougher songs, but...

    Bruce Dickinson

I doubt they'll record live in the studio, I just want a better overall production and more takes. Children Of The Damned, I never knew that! He has input on it and it makes sense to play it with Adrian. I doubt there's audio?

What are the top 5 worst Maiden songs?

Hooks In You's instrumental parts shine with a different and especially SIT unique production (riff, harmonies). A production can elevate a song uninspired chorus, not. Great work. It sounds like a perfect ASAP song. You should try Run Silent Run Deep, Bruce had the song in some form in 1986. I...

Bayley-era Maiden vs. Martin-era Black Sabbath vs. Ripper-era Judas Priest?

I love the two albums with Blaze, so that should be my answer, but I think the best fit (overall) was Tony Martin era. Underrated albums. Then Blaze. Ripper Priest era has some cool heavy riffs and style, but that's not what I want from Priest, even if it's not that far from their style.
