I do agree with you that there are too many versions of the album.
I think Senjutsu has the most ever formats.
I am a collector so have bought four versions so far.
Need to pick up the black vinyl and the red vinyl pretty soon though.
It's getting very expensive.
I remember when BYDTTS was...
Going for an early rating. Obviously this can change with time but have listened to the album around 15 times.

Stratego-9
TWOTW-9
LIALW-10
DOFP-8
TTM-6
DH-8
DOTC-10
TP-8
HOE-10
As soon as the album track listing was released I knew I would like it due to the number of Sir Steve...
I don't really want to get into this at the minute but I could hoke out the book I was referring to if I could be arsed.
Loved is a strong word to use from memory when referring to his opinions of BOS and TFF. I remember reading the book and thinking is this guy even an IM fan.
Let's move on...
I totally understand that Mr. Popoff is entitled to his opinion like everyone else, however he has already expressed his luke warm reaction to reunion era Maiden. WTF was he expecting, NOTB2?
Surely the track listing would have given him a hint as to the style of the album.
Let's be positive...
DOTC has just started on my 6th run....
This is different level stuff from Maiden.
I have been listening to this album from 9 o'clock (UK time) this morning. Still unveiling treasures and have not even fully considered the guitar solos yet.
It's no wonder they had considered going back in...
It's (HOE) just pure Steve Harris Maiden. It has everything. It's an encapsulation of everything that's good about Maiden in one song.
One on my favourite post-2000 Maiden songs is WTWWB so that's probably why I like it.
In all honesty though Lost in A lost World is a monster of a song. I'm on my sixth album run through now (took a break to get my smithing up in Skyrim) and it is my favourite song.
Really trying to get into DOFP but it's just not clicking at the minute. Hopefully it will come...
I watched the full interview and Bruce seems really enthusiastic. He is usually quite upbeat anyway but I think Maiden have found a renewed fire. You can hear it in their playing. Plus Sir Steve is suckin diesel!
Martin Popoff is stuck in the 80s. A family member bought me one of his Maiden commentary books and is was a very hard read. I'd rather go to the dentist....
Have totally connected with five of the songs. DOTC, LIALW, HOE, Stratego and WOTW.
I'm trying to remember back to my initial reactions to BOS and am trying to compare.
I think it is different to BOS as Senjutsu is potentially a stronger album and is more complex but it is a close shave. Too...
Just had 5th listen through the headphones this time and no skipping at all.
That's a really good sign. Going to take a break for an hour and have a few (more) jars and then have another listen.
I don't want to overly compare it with other reunion albums just yet as it will take a while to let...
I have just managed to get a hold of the physical CD while I await my outstanding delayed order.
My wife bought it for me while she was out shopping.
Anyway I am now going to boot up my old Boss BR-900 CDR and play the album through the headphones. My ears are going to be sore after this but...
Death of the Celts just clicked with me after fourth listen. It was weird. It was like a switch was turned on.
Love it! It is like The Clansman but not a carbon copy.
I'm on my fourth listen now and it is starting to sink in. There's so much depth to this album.
Really enjoying most of the songs more and more. Still haven't taken to Darkest Hour yet but I was never a fan of Wasting Love either.
Initially I didn't like LIALW but now it is one of my...
This is going to be one of those albums that's going to take numerous listens before forming an opinion on it for me.
The only thing I will say at the minute is that it's like an X Factor/AMOLAD hybrid and I like both those albums which is a good sign.
