Thanks for the response, @MindRuler. I’m glad you managed to get out and find something better.
My frustration is that I work across 3 schools and the behaviour varies across them. One of my schools has excellent behaviour and I just want to be there all week (not realistic).
I have spent...
I’m going through a rough patch at the moment with work. I am full time but only teach for 3 days. The other 2 days I am working on a range of projects for my organisation, which I have to say I am really enjoying.
I came home early from work on Friday after having a ‘wobble’. The kids were not...
Only the last few weeks I have been playing all of the shows from the Strangers in the Night boxset by UFO. I love the concept of this boxset. I wish Maiden would do something like this for LAD.
Credit to Phil Aston from Now Spinning magazine. I lifted the photo from his website. He does great...
They should have released Maiden England in 2008 or 2009 like originally planned. I would have happily sacrificed the Maiden England tour for more physical media, interviews and content. I thought the tour was ok, but the set list was mostly a big let down. It didn’t need to be a 3 year tour...
On a slight random side note, The Mercenary is the only song where the guitarist who wrote the song gives the solo up to another player. Janick co-wrote the song but Dave and Adrian take the solos.

Found it!
‘I think on the last album [Final Frontier] I brought in a lot of ‘strange’ time signatures, a lot of sevens. To be honest, we didn’t really embrace it like I thought we would. I don’t think it really gelled’...
Great post. I’m in the proTFF camp. There are some really interesting songs on there and they were trying some new ideas. I think it is a shame that Adrian said in an interview that he went back to writing shorter songs after the slightly negative press TFF got (citation needed).
I can’t imagine them ever doing something like this. Also they had an album in the can and just had to ride out the pandemic. Personally think they should have done a better job at releasing good quality live recordings for the fans during this time. NOTD is shite but the Donnignton 07 videos...
Sign of the Cross has a firm place in the greatest tour they have done and one of the greatest sequences of songs from a Maiden set list.
Revelations-FTGGOG-The Wicker Man- SOTC- Flight of Icarus.
The 2022 set list run of Revelations-Blood Brothers-SOTC-Flight of Icarus was great too.
My best try
