Btw, there are additional ramps similar to the ones for the FOTD tour in the upper half of stage - which makes the design a little fuller from the above and easier for Bruce. Imagine if they added screens there, it would have been like 3D.
It may seem so, but I still believe. Both can exist.
The next 2-3(at the very latest) years are crucial for a new album.
1- two Hits tours in a row? I really doubt it.
2- possible.
3- so the same as #1? New album combined with Part 2 and some mandatory hits... not sure, but why not.
They need...
Future Past and it's not even close. I love both albums, stage themes, songs and the debut of Alexander were perfect.
The 2007 tour was uninspired. They should have played one more TNOTB song (or the full album) with a probably more interesting mix of (''rare'') cuts. You can't top the 2006...
I think they chose POM Eddie because of the album cover's background. That's what's on the screen. The other Eddies, we have their album covers-related stuff on the screen, without the SIT world if we have to be specific. The first 7 covers are all classics anyway - and I guess the band...
And we now know Adrian's solo plans for early next year: tour a little over 1 month, starting from February. Bruce said that he will record his new solo album early next year (he works fast), but he also mentioned the first 4 months are free for him(?). He most likely won't tour solo next year...
With a 2nd album I doubt they'll play any other songs, but Maiden is Maiden. And Wasted Years works so well for him. Let's see. Btw, I would like some from Adrian's other projects.
Everything comes from the tempo, from the drummer. And idk if it's because of him or the band, but Simon's tempos are not consistently fast for some songs. Steady, yes. The others are still great, well, Bruce, except for one song.
A 1-hour career spanning documentary made by them, that's curious. The vote for the Top 20 Maiden songs will be interesting now. Will the interviews be new or old? Highlights from the band's career, let's see them.
Both reviews are very positive, but there is one line like ''age is starting to...
I have in mind the band's live outing. And it's for sure the bigger song. Anyway, I doubt the band looks at the charts.
They really should play one NPFTD song during this tour to be fair, is that too much to ask for... they could allow 2 more 90's songs, although this is a greatest hits tour...
The Birthday Strat, a surprise. A replacement for his cream Strat. It seems he's retired the cream Strat too (like the signature Strat, used for more than 20 years), it was in his rag last year (iirc). The LP is the sunburst one, right. I want to see it during Powerslave if he changes guitars.
Manchester was even a bit better than Birmingham. Let's hope the videos won't get taken down, there's no reason. This was probably Bruce's strongest version of Aces of this tour. Adrian with a full-on improvised and cool 2 Minutes solo. Btw, I miss Bruce's ''scream for me'' at the beginning.
Bruce yesterday:
''This tour, this setlist, is basically as closest you gonna get to the greatest songs we've ever done in the first 10 years.''
After the introduction of Simon: ''It's never easy stepping into the shoes as big as vacated by Nicko McBrain.'' ''And he has an advantage of course...
Infinite Dreams-esque event shirt... that's next level trolling. :p Cool art.
Videos can never replace art!
Maybe it will be a special shirt?
Which is curious, because the song is difficult for everyone.
Then he should read the comments about Aces too...
I have a feeling Bruce is like...
Birmingham performances were pretty good and tight (edit: Hallowed was rough, but just 2 songs is wow). The band's energy was really high and they really enjoy playing live. Even Aces was nice, without the last part of the chorus and ''fly to live''. The scream is still there. Bruce did a good...
The 2014 performances of Aces are actually rather good. Also, what a great sound for the Sonisphere videos. Nicko is on fire! I would like a full release of this show, despite this tour being my least favorite (the current one plays a role too), which is wild to say because of the set.
Dennis Stratton about the show from the tour he attended:
''Great show last night (in Helsinki). Nice little chat with Steve.. and it's fantastic. Listening to old music and Phantom was exciting and brought back some great memories. Last but not least, happy birthday to Simon.. he put on a...
