Have a good show tonight, sounds like soundcheck was fun!

I’ve suggested it before not very seriously but this allegedly soundchecked song would be a cool opener.

Pretty much the same as one of those ‘leaks’ yesterday, looks like the same username too.

The real question is surely... how will Sooty be dressed? Always the most important thing to know about the stage set.

We only need 62 more posts to get onto page 200. Lets make it happen! I’m working on an article for my music blog relevant to the new setlist so I’ll try to get that up tomorrow to help us get to the milestone.

You had me until Empire and then I realised that the font doesn’t look quite right for a setlist. No way The Trooper and Fear of the Dark will be missing.

Wrathchild is very good, was great last year, but it appears so often that people will resent it slightly. It then doesn’t help when it replaces special songs (Charlotte in 2005, Brighter in 2010 and Hallowed in 2017) or just generally pops up as second leg setlist filler (2007, 2009, 2014).

That can be arranged.

My five “please don’t”s are: Wrathchild Blood Brothers Wasted Years (cracking song but for the past ten years it has only missed TFF tour) Can I Play With Madness? Revelations (Ed Hunter was the last non-album tour not to feature it at some point)

It was a poor attempt at humour.

I had a nightmare the other week. I looked at the setlist and it was boring and full of the standards. Hopefully the dream isn’t true. Also, if they play SIASL they can’t play anything off the first reunion album. Tell me why for brownie points.

Trouble is, most people wouldn’t know that it has been that long since they last played it.

A lot of people will be going to hear IM, TNOTB, RTTH, HBTN, Trooper, Revelations, FOI, Aces High, 2MTM, Rime (pretty much the only famous long song other than Hallowed), Wasted Years, CIPWM?, TETMD, BYDTTS, FOTD. Even many of those more versed in Maiden either won’t know or be that bothered...

I hope the young man shouting “FREEEEDOOOM!” in Manchester last year will get his wish fulfilled this tour.

I think we’ll get a few livestreams this summer. I also think that they’ll do a proper concert film of this tour if the production is as amazing as they are saying, it would make the cheaper TBOS live package seem like a strategic move.
