No idea why this one was left in as it looks like it might be the last one all the rest in the area are more modern. I would agree with you that they would have renewed the head/shade at some point as it is a different style to the cover.
If you go onto street view and zoom to the location where the white van is down the road you will see one of the original street lamps which is the same design as on the record sleeve.
Adrian has been friends with Kym Mazelle for quite a few years and and co-wrote some other material with her, but I am not sure if it be released or if it was even recorded.
Kym was participating on masterchef a few years back and I think Adrian was in the background of one of the episodes.
I put the time line on that site as a bit of a test but that webpage wasn't really suitable for it so I never really continued it. I also haven't had a lot of spare time recently so haven't looked into doing a fuller time line. My time line goes back to Gypsy's Kiss and but I need to go through...
Tony Parsons auditioned for Maiden after seeing and advert in the Melody Maker dated Saturday 4 August 1979 although the paper came out on the Thursday before that. The audtions were held at Hollywood Studios possibly on the Sunday 5 August and around 20-30 people turned up.
The first gig I know...
I was just meeting up with some guys from the Iron Maiden Forum to have a few drinks before the gig. I didn't get my dinner till I got a chippy for the bus home.
We just stayed away as we know he would prefer to get his dinner in peace and we thought we would get a chance for autographs after...
I heard rumours on the night of the gig that the lads were at the Cathouse the night before. Not sure where they went after the gig but I saw Steve have dinner with an old friend in the Wotherspoons across the road before the gig and i think the rest of the band may have come in at some point...
When Paul was in the band the demo only existed on cassette tapes. One of which found its way to Neal Kaye. Paul was out of the band in April. When they started to press the E.P. later on in late summer /autumn it would make no sense listing a former member as he was not part of the line up...
For those that don't think Paul may have participated in the recordings here are some things to think about.
Paul never actively chased recognition until myself and Lira followed up a comment made by his brother.
Paul probably never thought much about his participation until we pointed out to...
Nelson the Dog is quite recognizable ;-). But on a serious note if you check the heights of the band against the other known photo of Paul Cairns you can see Paul Dianno and Doug are the two tallest, then Dave and Steve and Paul Cairns is the Smallest.
Also they didn't erase Paul as he is...
The early Maiden history is full of errors and omissions. A lot of the dates I base my info on are from Melody Maker adverts.
Dennis Wilcock was part of Maiden from Sept 1976 until Spring 1978. He played at the 17 Feb 1978 gig (Gear borrowed from Dogwatch as Maidens gear had previously been...
Hi guys,
My name is Barry and between myself and Lira we discovered that Paul Cairns played on the Soundhouse Tapes, the story of which was published in the Clairvoyant book.
Pretty much most of the evidence has been discussed already.
back in early 2010 I noted that Hugh Cairns (Paul's...
