'be Quick Or Be Dead' A fast paced opener to the album, but that's all about it. I wish Bruce wouldn't do that intro scream, it just sounds so bad. All in all just an average song.

'no Prayer For The Dying' Agreed, this song is somewhat underrated. I really like the guitars on this one. Ok, Bruce's voice sounds horrible, but it still fits into the topic of the song. To me it's the best song on the album, all in all a solid and good song.

'run Silent Run Deep' Well, "Das Boot" surely is a great movie, but the song is more or less about the crews of the merchant vessels which were attacked by the U-boats. Anyway, I wouldn't want to be on either side. Apart from the lyrical content, there is not too much from the song, at least...

'tailgunner' The background of the song has been talked about pretty much, so I'm only commenting the song. One should not compare it to Aces High (which is one of the best songs they ever did), there are quite some good parts in the song. However, the chorus doesn't belong to these parts...

'mother Russia' The intro bit is really great, but the rest of the song lacks something, although there are quite some good ideas in it. It seems they did not really know into which direction they wanted to go with the song, which is a general problem with the album.

'the Assassin' A good song with cool lyrics, but somewhat ruined by the chorus and Bruce's voice.

Re: 'Public Enema Number One' One of the better songs on the album with some very nice vocal harmonies, which is quite exceptional for Maiden.

'bring Your Daughter... ...to The Slaughter' I don't know, this song feels somewhat awkward. To me it sounds rather happy, apart from Bruce's voice and the lyrics of course. And the chorus is just... well, complete crap.

'holy Smoke' One of their more happy tunes, but I don't think it fits all too well with the band. It certainly doesn't fit the lyrics. One of the best songs on the album, but compared to other albums it's just sub-par.

'hooks In You' Well, quite a melodic song, but the lyrics completely ruin it.

A pretty average song, a spooky intro, some good ideas and harmonies, but nothing outstanding overall.

'the Evil That Men Do' A great song and one of the best singles they ever did. Thoughtful lyrics, great chorus, nice solo. However, they somehow manage to screw up the intro bit on every live recording, it just doesn't sound right to me.

'seventh Son Of A Seventh Son' Easily the best song on the album and blessed with a great instrumental section. The way it slowly builds up to a climax is simply awesome. I really dig the live versions of this song where the sound is a bit more raw.

'only The Good Die Young' I great ending to a great album, but IMHO a bit too short. They could have done a bit more of a harmony part like in the last part of the chorus.

'can I Play With Madness' Agree with most of you on this one, it's a slight throwaway number and doesn't really fit to the rest of the album. Easily the worst song on the album, but compared to some other tunes in the maiden catalogue it's still fairly average. The video for this is quite...

'the Clairvoyant' I really dig this one. The bass intro is great, and so is the harmony part before the last chorus. The lyrics are extremely well thought of, I often listened to the song wondering how it would be to have such powers, what problems one would face. The only thing to complain...

'the Prophecy' I agree, it has a very nice acoustic outro and some interesting verses (which would be very difficult to reproduce live). A fairly good song, but not the best on the album.

'infinite Dreams' One of my all time faves, a real classic. It's a shame they don't play it anymore. I really like the way that all the different parts flow together very well. The synthesizer adds some nice bits on this song as well.

'moonchild' I'd agree to that, a wonderful opener for a wonderful album. Still it doesn't get five stars, since I can't give six stars for SSOASS...

Hey, that's some very interesting trivia, but I doubt the boys knew about the second one while writing the song. And the song itself... well, a typical b-side, quite funny actually.
