There are no stores near me that had it so I got it from Amazon. It was such a nice feeling to hold a new Maiden album in my hands for the first time in years. And then the thrill of listening to it for the first time, soaking in all the new masterpieces, and enjoying the artwork- so incredible!

My first Maiden show was all of the album live, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Loved the album and I knew they would come back another time to play classics. Every song on this album is top notch for me so it was a nice treat to get to see them all. And it did make for quite the experience...

After listening to The Book of Souls for the first time, a small part of me thought "I kind of hope they don't make another album, I don't know how they are going to top this". But with Maiden it is entirely possible to match or exceed it :)

Rock in Rio has some vocal overdubs where Bruce beckons the crowd to sing and then he still sings. You can tell when you listen to the original webcast. In the liner notes for Maiden Japan they said they used a little bit of overdubs.

I refuse to listen to the leak and I haven't listened to Speed of Light in what feels like a couple weeks (don't want to overdo it before I get the album) so my anticipation is pretty high. Can't wait for Friday!

Piece of Mind, Powerslave, Seventh Son and AMOLAD. They all have such fantastic tones that really add something special to the music.
