Great to hear that you also loved it but im sorry about your wife... hopefully you have fond memories of both the tour and her.
This is exactly what I mean... u took the words out of my mouth, except that I saw them at Ullevi (which is one of my best memories of my whole life)
Reflecting on the times Ive seen Maiden and about what tour I think was their best ever.
My conclusion is that SBiT 2008-2009 was their best tour ever.
- The setlist was absolutely amazing
- The guys were in their best years and their performance was outstanding
- The general hype and vibe of...
Well yeah not without solos completely, but maybe where i can play rhythm instead.
So far Ive learned two Maiden solos, Daves first solo in Powerslave and Adrians solo in Stranger in a Strangeland (although there are some hard parts in that solo)
well whats outstanding about the china cymbal is that it makes such a unique sound compared to his crashes.
I add one song to the list (even though its live recording and not Nicko original)
Running Free - 2:10
Thats some great effort , i really didnt know it was that many songs
Piece of Mind and Powerslave-songs fits kinda well with the china sound, but it will be interesting to see if you find any in Somewhere in Time and forth on
id also like to add that at 5:02 in Ancient Mariner it sounds very much like a china sound but im pretty sure its actually his big gong. Or maybe he hits both
Powerslave - 0:00
2 Minutes to Midnight - 3:29
The Longest Day - 5:39
The Duellists - 1:49 and 2:51 (thanks forostar)
These Colours Dont Run - 3:31
Running Free (live) - 2:10 Link
Please help me fill up with more songs cause ive surely missed some
Im trying to learn complete Maiden songs from start to ending, and so far I only know Paschendale (excluding the solos).
Can anyone give me some recommendations for fairly easy songs to learn as a whole?
Anyone else a bit annoyed by how ridiculously high they edited the choirs in TRATB at 11:50? Listen here
I love the sound of it but it should definatly be more in the background, I can barely hear the guitars
