  1. Viperlord

    Iron Maiden

Studio version of this song isn't that great, but I like the twin guitars on the track, and it's a fun song live. I'll give it a 7/10.
  2. Viperlord

    Running Free

7/10. Fun rocker, good energy. Nothing particularly special, and it somewhat pales compared to later Iron Maiden.
  3. Viperlord

    Charlotte the Harlot

6/10. It's catchy and sorta fun if you're in the mood, but the song is far from Maiden's best.
  4. Viperlord

    Prowler

7/10. Music is fantastic, but the lyrics are absolutely ridiculous, and prevent the song from rising any higher for me.
  5. Viperlord

    Remember Tomorrow

9/10. Great performance by Di'Anno, maybe his best with Maiden, excellent guitar work, and a haunting atmosphere.
  6. Viperlord

    Strange World

8/10. As noted previously in this thread, the most Pink Floyd-esque song Maiden have ever done. Great performance from Paul, and a uniquely melancholic feel to the song.
  7. Viperlord

    Transylvania

Fantastic instrumental piece, flows exceptionally well, and the atmosphere is superb. Rivaled only by Ghengis Khan for Maiden's best instrumental. 9/10
  8. Viperlord

    Where Eagles Dare

Nicko's on fire in his first appearance on a Maiden album, and his performance is the driving force of this song. Aside from that, Bruce provides a soaring performance (pardon the pun) here, capturing the energy of the song perfectly, though I'm not in love with the chorus. The guitars aren't...
  9. Viperlord

    The Trooper

This is among the first Maiden songs that really caught me. The song is absolutely iconic and a live staple, and for good reason. Excellent solos, a very literally galloping bass, the dueling double (And now triple) axe attack, a powerful performance from Bruce, and simple but thrilling lyrics...

TNOTB: individual album judgement by yours truly

I completed my rankings for the Beast.  :yey:
  11. Viperlord

    The Prisoner

7/10. A notably stronger 7 than Invaders, with some nice instrumental parts and good vocals from Bruce. The chorus and the music become somewhat repetitive however.
  12. Viperlord

    The Number of the Beast

9/10, and a strong nine at that. Killer riffs, the intro and Dickinson scream are immortal.
  13. Viperlord

    Invaders

7/10. Not great, but solid, with a nice bass line and a good solo.
  14. Viperlord

    Total Eclipse

Heavy and menacing, this is a powerful song. The opening riff slays, and Clive is great here. Production on the studio version isn't so hot, but Bruce is snarling with energy on the live version from Beast over Hammersmith. A quite underrated song. 8/10
  15. Viperlord

    22, Acacia Avenue

Great song, nice opening riff from Adrian, and the solos are excellent. The song's a lot of fun, though not up there with some others Maiden have done. 8/10
  16. Viperlord

    Gangland

5/10. Pretty forgettable song, and the parts that I can remember for any length of time, I don't particularly care for.
  17. Viperlord

    Run to the Hills

Overplayed, but still a superb song, especially live. The drum intro followed by the guitars is especially note-worthy. 8/10.
  18. Viperlord

    Hallowed Be Thy Name

I never get tired of this song, and it was one of the most memorable moments from the SBIT concert for me. The lyrics are brilliant, and the music is simply amazing, meshing together perfectly. Often considered one of the finest Maiden songs, and for good reason. 10/10
  19. Viperlord

    Children of the Damned

10/10. Bruce is on fire here, pouring emotion into the song's evocative lyrics. Adrian's solo is superb as well.
  20. Viperlord

    Phantom of the Opera

10/10. Maiden's first true masterpiece. A roaring song, with great bass from 'Arry, riffs, and powerful vocal performances from both Paul and Bruce respectively.
