I didn’t get tickets for this tour. The first kick in the nuts was reading that they’re opening the shows with my all time favorite song (Xanadu). The second kick in the nuts was watching the YouTube videos and realizing that Geddy’s voice sounds better than it has in 30 years. Fuck.

My first (sort of) Yes concert was also in DC, it was Anderson Bruford Wakeman and Howe at Constitution Hall:

Satellite 15 is rather boring. As is most of the first half of TFF.
But El Dorado is a catchy rocker. And everything beginning with and after Isle of Avalon is gloriously triumphant.
I haven’t rolled up the actual numbers but it’s interesting that it seems to me that for the majority of the posters in this thread their first IM concert was Xfactour.
I’m not sure what happened there with all the underlined and bold font, but that song is definitely Top 5 Maiden.
And we all know that Somewhere in Time is the all time best IM album
Without going into too much detail, my favorite 5 in order:
1. The Red and the Black
2. The Great Unknown
3. The Book of Souls
4. Shadows of the Valley
5. Empire of the Clouds

Can't believe...

Nice guy it was a hot day and he gave us a couple of Heinekens...

Be Quick or Be Duck
Black Duck Blues
The Quack of Souls
Bring Your Duck... To The Slaughter
Charlotte the Duck
Children of the Duck
Duck of Death
Ducks of Future Past
Death of the Ducks
Ducktor Ducktor

Also all of Virtual XI.
I love Grace Under Pressure but I probably love it the least of the classic album run from Hemispheres to Power Windows.
Yes, including Signals. Still GUP has been in my rotation ever since it was released and there's a lot of great music there.
I hope all AC/DC fans enjoy some Bon Scott rock today on what would be his 80th birthday.
I grew up with Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and Highway to Hell but lately I've been savoring Powerage and live If You Want Blood You've Got It.
If it's been a while, check them out again. It's pure...
