I kind of missed your optimism.
Still, Drake is not THAT big. He's doing great in some places, but in many others he can't beat Maiden. And since the label shipped 15% more copies than BOS they clearly think they can sell more.
Drake has an assured #1 in the US (probably he will go over...
I'm in a lot of international groups and I see positive comments for the most part. Of course there are haters and trolls as usual, but it seems like this time they're a small minority.
I found it weird too for that reason. Maybe they were taking in account only physical copies? But if so it wouldn't make sense to have Drake, who is digital only.
Pretty sure the boxes are counted too.
If the 35k figure is correct would be a bit of a letdown compared to BOS numbers in the UK (there is still time though, even if I doubt they can double it), but Drake would be behind with ca 9k copies left, which is an increase from the 8k difference there was yesterday.
It might be interesting to see how the new album will do in the charts.
Accordingly to BMG, they shipped more copies than for BOS in the US.
We know that in the UK they're battling with Drake for the first spot. A guy from the FC wrote they sold 35k copies so far which, even if they're ahead...
The band is okay with listening to the songs earlier (of course we're not talking about months but it's a matter of few days), as long as, if you like it, you buy the album. Who search for leaks it's the same people who actually ordered the album already anyway.
Some stores are getting it on september 1/2, so I guess it depends on where the stores are.
Amazon says my copy will be delivered on september 7 but I'm sure I will get it on release day. Probably they just want to play it safe.
