And this is where the other members come into play. I think some of them (particulary Dave and maybe Janick) accepted the extensive 2026 tour dates, if Maiden activity is very limited next year (let's say 3 months at max). That's where the "no shows in 2027" comes from. Adrian is pretty neutral...

No, it was the backup for the #1 Sunburst Strat, which was in standard tuning. #2 Sunburst Strat was in drop D for that tour.

    Chris Dale was also there.

4 heads in a rack on shelves without the original casings was kinda a common practice in the 80's. Steve Vai also had a similar rack built with 2 Jose modded Marshalls and 2 Lee Jackson modded Marshalls. After that rack-mounted Soldanos, Mesas and Bradshaws came.

Ok, it seems that it filled up at the start.

I've never seen this photo of H's guitars before...

It will be interesting what they do in Mexico City, since they are only playing 2 nights.

I think consistency. Dave never had 2 identical Strats. Now he has. The neck is very specific and similar to the California series. So, the second Hicks strat is basically a perfect backup.

No, it's probably one of the expensive Dave Murray strats from the Andy Hicks custom shop run. Those 2 guitars should be as identical as it gets (apart from the Fender logo).

I think if they record, it will likely be spring.

I doubt they would do that. If they go on a full blown tour, they fall into the Kiss/Motley Crue bracket with their 8443 farewell tours with marketing like that.

Exactly. Plus Bruce probably wants to release his album next spring and tour it ASAP. A good middle ground for them next year would be an O2 series of concerts, IMO. 4-6 gigs in 2 weeks. David Gilmour style. They have screens now, so they can do production for songs much easier. And they can...

There was a plan with IM. No shows in 2027. It clearly said that on IM website when 2026 dates were announced. However, it seems like Steve has been pushing them to play at least a few since early this year. If we get any Maiden live activity next year, I'd imagine it to be something like 4-5...

Because Maiden should not be active touring wise next year. Also sitting on a new album by Bruce for so long. That November-December thing makes little sense. And I'm almost sure they haven't spoken about reversing that "no shows in 2027" decisiob before they began rehearsing this year.

Ah, okay. But that is very strange. Let's see when the dates come out.

Wasn't that about the US? Would make much more sense that he is doing the festival season. His "see you in 2028... or maybe earlier" kinda hints at that.

I think spring. Bruce is likely doing Euro festivals with the solo band next year.

I'm much more confident after reading this interview. That said, nothing is guaranteed. If we see a clear gap in Bruce's touring next year, I'm pretty sure they will be recording.
