I can’t wait for the new aquatic themed studio album and tour, beginning in 2026, which will also feature the return of Rime, Ghost of the Navigator, The Talisman, and other nautical themed songs. It will be a new album tour with a couple deep cuts and the setlist staples returning as well.

Exactly, I’m 31 and buy both records and CDs. I bought the deluxe CD, but probably won’t go for the vinyl of The Mandrake Project. I think @Rob77 meant to refer to Gen Z-ers :cool:

Although the rest of the album is growing on me slightly, Sonata really is quite dull. I especially can’t stand the symbols/drums in that song, they just sound so fake.

Streaming the album (legally) now. So far the songs I like are Afterglow, Resurrection Men, Mistress of Mercy, and Face in the Mirror. I’m saving the last two songs for the morning. :innocent:

I think the title track (Senjutsu) is awful, sluggish and boring. The worst opening song of their career imo. When I first listened to Senjutsu I was expecting another If Eternity Should Fail, but I was sadly disappointed. I was just waiting for it to pick up the pace or do something...

Okay Then 1. Brave New World 2. Dance of Death 3. A Matter of Life and Death 4. The Book of Souls 5. The Final Frontier 6. Senjutsu Book of Souls would be so much higher if disc 2 was shortened.

I agree with you. I personally feel that these two new songs are solid, but they are still a bit pedestrian ;) Hoping for something like The Pilgrimage on this new album :rocker:

I recently went on a No Prayer binge and remembered how good the album actually is, thanks in part to this guy’s breakdown of the entire album and the guitar lines, riffs, and melodies. In particular The Assassin breakdown helped me realize how cool and unique the guitar is in this song. He...

Good points. He’s even unintelligible at times while speaking. Either way, he’s the GOAT and I will happily buy anything he sings on. It’s fun to nitpick but it’s simply because we are super fans on an online forum, so why not?

I actually like the “strain”, it’s the aged air raid siren and it’s still Bruce, just older and more weathered. As long as he does it in modesty and not throughout an entire song, I’m perfectly fine with it.
