I have the impression that when it comes to such albums/bands/collaborations and their results, the main problem is marketing. Artists don't typically consider such projects their primary source of income, so there's less pressure to sell them. This is worse for sales, but better for the albums...

I finally found the time to listen to the entire interview and I have to say it's one of the best Bruce interviews I've ever listened to.

I would say that second album that they will record will be decider - first one sometimes is like a first pancake, not so great. But I hope that it will bring as many people possible. But damn - they all have real chemistry and sound great together.

Skunkworks is full of great songs and for me it always felt almost personal. Also dont forget about masterpiece - Im in a band with italian drummer ;-) Chemical Wedding is obviously great metal album but I would take them both with me to deserted island. Shadow of the gods has for me similar...

Honestly, every video from solo Bruce show gets me stocked for his next solo album & makes me like his solo band even more. Maybe Mandrake Project wasn't the best album ever, but if they will achieve same quality without Roy Z - I'm all in.
