I respect your opinion, but I have to massively disagree with you. I’m not sure how anyone can listen to Senjutsu and say how that is a superior album to Dance of Death. Half of the songs sound like they are demos in Steve’s mind.
It’s my favourite Maiden. It’s got rockers, epics, great melodies and memorable hooks. What’s not to love? Ok, Age of Innocence is weaker. But I love the album.
I would prefer to have a live video of TFP tour over the RFYL tour. However, I don’t think it’s going to happen. They have released some footage from Wacken, but I think there might be some reluctance. It is probably due to Nicko’s performance. He was a shadow of his former self and probably...
I go through phases with listening to different albums or eras of Maiden. Currently, I have En Vivo in the car and I am really enjoying it. I have always been watching 2010 bootlegs and the Wacken footage from that tour. I am on a proper Final Frontier ‘kick’ at the moment.
How about you? What...
I am not excusing the band for being underrehearsed, but can you imagine the amount of willpower that they will have to summon up to rehearse the same songs that they’ve played with Nicko for decades?
To be fair, they have played the 5 obvious Blaze tunes with Bruce. Therefore I have to go with one of two personal favourites from that era: Como Estais Amigos and The Educated Fool.
I was just watching a video of Infinite Dreams live this year. They are crushing it. It’s a shame I am missing this year, but I can’t justify it at the moment.
I just have remind myself that I have been incredibly privileged over the years to see them perform some of my favourite songs over...
I am in the Frozen phase with my daughter. We were watching the blu ray on our 4K TV. To my eyes, it looks equally as good as any 4K stream.
I enjoying owning physical media, but I have to be selective. It’s easy to become overwhelmed with stuff you don’t listen to or watch.
My friend and I said the gig felt different last time. The band sounded great, but it wasn’t the best show. Especially when compared to the BOS, LOTB and TFP tours.
I am very much anti backing tracks. Just hire a few more session musicians to augment the sound. When I go to a concert, I don’t expect it to sound like the album.
