This. And it's only playing for two nights at theaters near me. Really it will just be all die hard Maiden fans who will go see it at the theater. The Maiden camp is not looking to break any box office records. I see it as a treat for fans like us to be able to see it on a big screen and with...
Oh look, it's Doom and Gloom again ;) . I imagine I'm like a lot of people and don't buy movie tickets months in advance. I certainly don't expect every theater to be sold out but I think sales will pick up as we get close and there will be walk up sales.
13 times starting in 1981. Only tour where I have seen them more than once was the TBOS tour, but different years. Would liked to have gone to more shows but I don't really travel and there was a 14 year gap between shows in Atlanta. But for the last few tours I've been forced to go Charlotte...
If you're referring to the guy who says Maiden "became the biggest band in the world a second time" they are more than just a youtuber. They are Superfans really. They go to multiple shows every tour in Europe and NA with a contingent of friends and get FTTB most of the time, his partner makes...
Oh I have no problem paid photo and autograph ops. It's a source of income for a lot of celebs who might be on the downside of their careers. Also many actors on Sci-Fi shows have a rough time finding other work after their shows end their run. I just can't believe that even a diehard SW fan...
It's no harder to sing or play than a lot of other Maiden songs. I don't get it either. Unless one or more of the band just don't like it. For me it's one of my top Maiden songs
The convention or the company that sponsored/brought him there is getting their cut as well.
I also wonder why (I understand why Nicko is doing it). Maybe he thinks it might help with his solo career revival? Is he only doing these in America?
I wasn't implying that at all. Just a little joke saying I think Americans who are not fans might be more inclined to check Maiden out if they see them on the HoF ceremony, more so if some influencer says they're cool, heh.
I could see them refusing an induction because Blaze is not included...
You're not American though? Lol.
They broadcast the ceremony so they potentially could pick up some new interest here in the States. Mind you there are still folks in the US that think Maiden is some kind of horror/satanic band. They don't understand or realize what they are really about.
I...
I think it's now or never this year. They are on their 50th anniversary tour in the US this year so that's a plus I think. But they've fallen way behind in the fan vote I see. Last two times they finished in the top 7. It's still early though. If I recall if they finish in the top 7 that gets...
What I do if I can't get decent tickets on release day I will wait until they release holdbacks, usually within a week or two before the date. That's what I did for the last several Maiden and Priest shows. I've never bought a resell.
Lol. Someone needs to go outside and touch grass.
All I know is Charlotte is the one show I can make and unless they release more tix prior to show date I will be on the lawn. Resells are as much as $1700 USD for the best seats. As much as I love Maiden I'd never pay that.
Burning Ambition is a fine title. But knowing how my country is (USA), where everyone can be offended by literally anything, with that title it would not surprise me if some theaters wouldn't show this in the Bible Belt of the South, or even demonstrations from religious nuts.
"until at least 2028, as they take a well-earned break from being on the road for the whole of 2027."
To me a "break" means just that. It's close but not over yet, my friends. I'm hoping for 18 and one more tour.
