Another I'm not sure on. 8 or 9 here. I love the bass, the singing, the chorus and the ending. The solos are nice too but it isn't quite as special as what came before it. As I listen to it, I'm edging towards an 8 but then "Seven Deadly Sins..." comes on and I'm up for giving it a 9 again. 8.5...
I dunno. Nicko is only one year younger than Halford, Downing and Hill. Tipton is 5 years older than him. Drummer is a more intensive (physically) job too...
Am I the only one who sees no problem in Maiden respectably accepting their award? They've always said they don't get enough media attention and to have a bitch fit when they finally receive it seems a little immature and silly. Sure it would probably be awesome and funny but it would just seem...
Disagree with Childhoods End. One of Maidens most underrated songs. The melodies are very melodic but dark which fits with the theme. Bruce's growly vocals fit. I like it a lot.
I'm not sure whether to give it a 9 or 10. It's mystical feeling is again perfect for the album. Bruce is excellent. I love the part Foro mentioned and also "Just by looking through his eyes..... couldn't *pause of awesome proportions* foresee his own demise" *cue awesome melody.
The chorus was...
So I decided to listen to Stargazer for the first time not on youtube.
I think I'm going to use my remaining 8 hours of spotify this month on it and then go buy Rising. Awesome. What do you guys think is the meaning behind the story in the song, I've seen some people say it's a religious thing...
The main problem with TXF is the production. I remember somone saying that the guitars sound like they were played under water. It's this reason why the RiR version of SotC is so great, regardless of the singer.
I love the chorus on The Fugitive but the rest of the song not so much. I quite like the last verse too but it's probably in the right position on your list.
David Beckham!
He still plays but he is injured at the minute so isn't much use. He probably would've made the England World Cup squad but for injuries.
Re: Iron Maiden Survivor 2010: FINALS round 2 (Nov 28-29)
I'm really upset WTWWB is going and it annoys me that after this round it'll be 9-3 in terms of "Golden" era: Reunion era songs. If it was any song other than SSOASS then I'd have lynched it in order to save DoD (top 20 song) or WTWWB...
"Over borders that divide the earthbound tribes, Through the dark Atlantic; over mariners stormy graves." Bruce's lyrics to Coming Home are really poetic and this is one of my favourites from the song.
"Holding on for our dear lives, And we’re praying once again." The atmosphere the song has...
Re: Daily Song: The Prophecy
Not a great song but still very good. An excellent solo, like almost all Murray songs and I like the lyrics in the context of the album. I'd agree that the fadeout is maybe a little long and can kill a tiny bit of the momentum of the album.
A 7.5. As I like SSoaSS - 8.

GotN
DoD
WTWWW
I didn't want to vote for the last 2 songs. Especially WTWWB but SSOASS has to be saved.
