The press release clearly said the rest of the dates are being announced this year, they aint suddenly going to cancel ROW plans based on how other countries may or may not be selling lol. These dates will come out in due time, most likely mid Feb after the remaining Latin dates have gone on sale.
Based on the source, I think it was something that Live Nation discussed or looked at, but it depends on when that discussion happened, it could have been before dates were announced and Maiden management opted for the smaller run of NA dates only.
