Done a quick search and can’t believe their isn’t a Testament thread
Maybe I missed it and didn’t search properly but theirs nothing on the front page of this sub forum so even if their was a thread no one’s been talking about them recently which considering their new album dropped today...
My first Maiden show was on the X-factour at the Brixton academy in London. Cracking night as I was a big fan of the support band that night, My Dying Bride.
Can’t remember much about the stage set up but I do remember Blaze being rooted to the same spot all night just fist pumping while...
So you had one experience with Nicko once for a few seconds and judged him as completely rude an arrogant all the time
I love how fans are so quick to judge an entire personality over a whole lifetime just because for the few seconds they demand attention and want an autograph said...
The uk date TBC is a curious one.
I’d love it if it’s a sabbath type one off with some big names announced all playing some of their own stuff and each band does a cover of a maiden song not on the maiden setlist.
That would be something very special. Be extra cool if they stream it too and...
Looks AI to me. Still like it though and I’m not one of these fans who jumps on any band using AI but this does look like someone typed into Chat GPT “sound of perseverance by death, anniversary” and this is what popped up.
Big fan of cathedral here :shred:
I was starting to get into death metal around the early 1990’s which included the death doom movement in the uk. Discovered cathedral around the same time as paradise lost, my dying bride and Anathema.
I remember buying the ethereal mirror on release day and...
It’s funny reading back the last couple of pages of this thread. Reminds me of when I first got a pc and regular internet access, probably around 1999/2000 I believe. Computers were very expensive and the company I worked at was doing a scheme where you could have the latest intel computer and...
And bands complain they can’t make money from streaming these days :p
If Senjutsu alone is doing 50k streams per day then if they only make 10p a stream that’s £5k a day or over £1.8m a year! Or halve that if it’s only 5p a day but that’s still huge.
Compare that to selling a cd 30 years ago...
I’ll apologise for the bell end comment previously made. I certainly shouldn’t have jumped in this thread all guns blazing with that as an opening line.
I think threads like this are just pointless though and seem to exist just to try and through shade on the band. I get it, this is a maiden...
You’re a bell end plain and simple. Starting a thread for no reason other than to think you’ve got some special info but really you’ve either copied and pasted this from another forum or, you’ve got nothing better to do with your life.
This is a business transaction and has no bearing on how...
I have the usual stuff you’d except a collector to have, all the albums on vinyl and cd along with all the singles on cd, t-shirts, posters etc.
I guess my prized possessions would be:
- eddies head boxset with the 1998 remasters. Head is in mint condition, still got the certificate and the...
Exactly!
Agree with this too. Thankfully elitist fans are a lot fewer in numbers and I’ve also met some really cool people who’ve dedicated their lives to Maiden. Ok so I still find it a bit strange when someone has so little going on in their life that they dedicate their lives to listening...
Not really, it was just an opinion. Just find her and some of the guys on the channel very irritating. I watched her review of the run for your lives tour and it was just a complete pile of shit talk to me.
I rember her from the official FC forum when I used to post there. She was part of a...
Brilliant stuff! Haven’t listened to all the vids yet but the ones I have all sound fantastic. Faves so far are Phantom, Judas be by guide and still life :shred:
The best versions of the albums up to fear of the dark definitely aren’t the 1998 remasters:
I’d say the castle 2 disc versions are the absolute best. Then I’d take the original recordings and then the 2015 remasters ahead of the 1998 versions.
