Lots of great parts and melodies. Nice vocals by Bruce and two great but short solos. The song as a whole on the other hand is arranged VERY POORLY and it gets too repetitive at times.

Don't like either. They got some nice parts but as complete songs they are both a mess. IMO that is!

But during the last album tour Eddie appeared on Book of souls (the song), which in my opinion consists of 5 minutes of nothing happening....before anything happens at all

Well, Nico is 70. They still got to do the Senjutsu gigs. More or less the next couple of years are set. I guess Bruce is also going out with his new album,right? Dave accordingto the reports is no longer so keen on long tours. I see a future of less gigs. Each one might as well be a real event...

Not exactly on point but the latest albums seem to be played live with less precision and less guitar layers although they got the 3 guitars. E.g IESF has a lot of textruring in the studio but it is waaaay too slow. The live version is 43 sec faster but half of the guitar phrasing is missing. So...

It is not Kiss' fault. People pay to see them regardless.

Probably that Adrian did not bother to learn Jan's sloppy solos!! :)

Don't forget that he had to play all the 3-4 note melodies during that show!!!! He was so crucial to the show... :facepalm:

I just feel that apart from DOD all the albums (for the most part) needed a few more takes, or even better some better crafted / faster renditions. Maiden always played their songs faster live but it is getting comedic that the live feel in the albums transaltes to way too slow songs that only...

Steve has been riding the live sound quest wave since day one. It was Kevin who suggested that they all play together to cut the "bed" of the songs. That my friend was his introduction to the muddy sound and the lifeless takes :)
