Surely much of that video for Aces High could be repurposed for Tailgunner.
For me, the exclusion of a single NPFTD track during the 2025 leg is an error that they should fix in the 2026 leg.
Isn’t there a correlation between the reduction of twin guitar harmonies and the loss of Martin Birch as producer?
I think a lot of issues with Maiden’s song writing occurred with the loss of Birch.
Kilamajaro are the SOLE promoters for Edd Fest 2026….
@ShadowOfTheGods you truly are a remarkable touring industry guru if you know of a co-promoter that no-one else knows of for this gig!
The strategy worked for Megadeath - their final album gave them their first ever number 1 album in certain countries including America.
Maiden have hit number on the album charts all over the world, but the have never quite managed it in America.
I wonder if there is a little bit of wanting...
But it is not healthy debate, is it?
You are constantly speculating terrible sales for Maiden, telling everyone that they risk having to downgrade their venue size or play to half empty venues…..and then literally days later we find Maiden adding dates and you say nothing, you just move on to...
Yes this makes sense - the only reason to squeeze such a (relatively) extensive tour into 2026 is to spend 2027 recording.
Otherwise, the European festival 2026 leg would surely have been scheduled for 2027.
But….
Then again, they could also have spent the early summer of this year...
Those seem strong reasons why a new album would not be a priority for the band, but the reasons are undermined by the fact that half the band are finding the time to make solo albums.
Also, I guess writing and rehearsing new material on the road is an alien idea for them.
And likewise, the...
And just a day or two later….. another date is added.
Perhaps it is time for you to stop with all the doomsday rhetoric about how poor ticket sales are etc.
You clearly do not know anything bout the touring industry and your unfounded speculation is just noise.
I suggest a period of quiet...
You clearly have no idea how ticket sales operate. I got my ticket on the day of the show, and where I was sat in the nosebleeds, there were plenty of empty seats.
The show attracted less than 69,500.
If that was a sell out, it was the lowest sell out crowd in the venues history!
But let me...
But then you have the moderators being on the hook to address every rumour in circulation.
Being blunt, but if people want to believe somebody with any due diligence, more fool them.
Considering the size and wealth of Japan, the shows Maiden play there are very small compared to other parts of the world.
It seems they are losing their ageing Japanese fans and not replacing them sufficiently with newer generations.
I doubt there will be another deep cuts tour like the DoFP.
I think the band are looking to play at the stadium level in their twilight years, which is fair enough.
And they can only sell out stadiums in most markets with a set list giving a big focus on their big songs and a few deep cuts -...
To be fair, this is probably Maiden’s first and last chance to step up into the stadium league in America.
For American fans, I hope it pays off as otherwise the band may be more inclined to neglect the US if the can only do arenas there in the future whilst most of the rest of the world allows...
A second night in LA already suggests their ambition of upgrading venues is paying off in their traditional strong holds. Time will tell how they do in other markets in America.
Or, rather, they know what they can get their fans to pay money for. ;-)
Which seems to be quite a lot of product with minimal effort when it comes to their back catalogue.
No, it was jot sold out.
69500 is significantly below capacity, and tickets were available on the day.
I got my ticket literally a couple of hours before show time.
