    Coolest Album Cover Artwork

It could be any from Powerslave, SiT, SSoaSS, FotD and BNW, but I give my final vote to Somewhere in Time.

Favorite Current Iron Maiden Lead Guitarist

I voted Adrian. He can do more with one note than Janick can do with 50. He is an awesome songwriter, and his solos have a certain quality that no one else has or can even imitate.

Classic cinema - thoughts and questions

Re: Classic cinema / current cinema - thoughts and questions Of older films, I really like Twelve Angry Men. I have always liked movies that stay on one place, and thus rely heavily on dialogue and the characters to keep the plot moving. My next classic movie I'll be watching will be The...

    Official Football Thread

I had a feeling Ramsey could have gone on to be one of the top 5 or so players in the country. I think he is a remarkable talent, and it is such a shame to see something like this happen. Whether he returns anywhere near like he can play now, or begin to fulfil his potential is a big question...

    New posters! Who are you?

Hey all. My name is Robin, I'm from just outside Leeds in the UK, and I'm 22 years old. I have been listening to Maiden since I was 4 years old. My brother, who got me into them, put me together a little tape, called "Rob's Iron Maiden". I remember it had Phantom of the Opera, Bring Your...

The Next Album (expectations / desires)

One thing I don't want is another 4 songs about war. In fact, I think I'd prefer a generally upbeat album to be honest. AMOLAD was really, really dark overall, and can be a bit draining to listen to. BNW and SiT are quite nicely upbeat, and another one along these lines would be wonderful. I...

    The Blaze Era

I think the Blaze era is an important part of Maiden's history, and should be acknowledged as such. Obviously the band weren't quite as popular in those days, and that could be attributed to the decline in popularity for metal as a whole (and the rise of grunge). The X-Factor is on a lot of...

    Favorite Live Album

I voted RiR. It has the best setlist in my opinion, the perfect blend of old classics and newer stuff. I would love to see The Clansman and Sign of the Cross stay in the live set. Plus, it has the best versions of most of the classics: the best Wrathchild, Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, The...

Why has some great songs been overlooked when it came to playing them live?

Furthermore, I remember reading somewhere that some of Bruce's rejected SiT material found its way onto his Tattooed Millionaire album. I think 1000 Points of Light was one of them. Anyways, I've always been a fan of The Fallen Angel. I think that would be pretty good played live.

    Most Underrated Maiden Song

For me, it's Gates of Tomorrow. The chorus is so absolutely mind blowing to me; the vocal harmonies, as well as the lyrical content is something from the very top drawer. The overly long intro probably stops most people from praising it I guess. That aside, I can name  at least a half dozen...

    Maiden's darkest song?

I find Fortunes of War to be pretty dark, but that whole album is pretty damn dark to be honest. Lord of Light is also very dark in as much as it is very evil. Adrian's solo in that is the most evil bit of music I have ever heard.
