    Your Questions for an interview?!

Adrian's Dad died mid tour. They played a few dates without him as he went home to be with his family, and left Stranger in a Strange land out, because of Adrian's heavy involvement in it. It never made it back into the set when he came back to rejoin the tour.

    A rare Bruce vocal performance!

Really? I'd always just assumed that he owed his record company an album after he joined Maiden, hence the half-baked, half-assed Tyranny of Souls album. The lack of a proper tour after it backed up my theory. Anyways, as I say, just an assumption of mine. It's not really a bad album, I enjoy...

    The Alchemist

Now TFF has been fully digested into my system, I'm adamant that The Alchemist is the most important track on the album. It is such a welcome break before the 5 epics that follow it; it helps break the album up nicely. Without it, I think TFF would suffer from pretty bad pacing problems when...

Janick's backing vocals on live at Donington

Hmm, I always assumed it was just Steve on the recordings from that area. Cheers Forostar!  :edmetal: Still not as good as H. They always tend to put him higher in the mix than that when he's doing backing vocals.

    Blaze Bayley

Horrid guitar playing though. Nasty vibrato, and bends not in tune. Maybe I'm being harsh, but they're rubbish!

Janick's backing vocals on live at Donington

Can't really hear him, which is a shame, I'd have liked to hear what he'd sound like. Can't be any worse than Steve.

Where can I find Donington Live 1992?

^ Yeah, it's almost worth it just for Adrian playing Running Free.

    Possible future Maiden fans?

There aren't words in the English language that can adequately describe how awesome that was.

Maiden to film Buenos Aires and Santiago for DVD

Is that the one Steve and Kevin can be seen working on in the Flight 666 Documentary?

Maiden Songs that belong on other albums

I think sticking all the war songs on AMOLAD doesn't do it justice. The way I see it Paschendale is what lead to a lot of AMOLAD, and Paschendale fits in perfectly on DoD. I think Man on the Edge would have fit nicely on Fear of the Dark, and a few songs on Fear of the Dark like The Fugitive...

    Re-recordings

I've always wanted to hear what some of the Piece of Mind album sounded like re-recorded. Compared to NotB and Powerslave, the albums either side of it, the band doesn't sound quite as heavy and the guitars sound weak and thin. I'm not sure I'd actually genuinely want to see them re-do the...

    Awesome Maiden Bootleg Website

Which is the best Early Days Tour bootleg? I'm guessing (hoping) Ullevi

84 out of 86 Iron Maiden songs

    That's poor, really poor.

    No Prayer for the Dying

I'm a big fan of No Prayer. Although it doesn't have any truly brilliant songs, I think it has 2 or 3 that are knocking on the door of greatness; all the others are pretty good. I think it has less filler and tripe than Fear of the Dark does. I really like Bruce's performances on this one...

    On repetitive choruses

Who cares? Seriously, who cares? I see no correllation whatsoever between quality of song and how repetitive a chorus is.

    Your First Maiden Gig ?

16/6/2000 - London Earls Court. I was only 12 then. I swear I was the youngest person in that arena that day. Maiden have a lot more younger fans these days though.

That reminds me of Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.

"Coming Home" announced as Iron Maiden's next single.

I had noticed that, but with one of the videos surrounding the recording of AMOLAD, there was some coverage of "B-Sides Day". Adrian mentioned they were doing a Focus song (remember Focus?), a Thin Lizzy song and a ZZ Top song, which he refused to do.  :P I wonder how far along these songs were...

Deconstructing Eddie: My Iron Maiden Songs & Albums Countdown

As a compulsive listmaker myself, I love reading stuff like this. While I have totally disagreed with a good number of your early picks, I found your opinions valid and entertaining to read. I really hope you finish this. I will refrain from wishing you luck until you get to the top 30 or so...

    Official Football Thread

Due to Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal all scoring 6 goals this weekend, they played The Number of the Beast on MotD 2 this week. I squealed like a little bitch!
