Mindruler, you see, I was right about what GhostofCain does when he cranks up Balls to the Wall. Yeah, he's more into fast-sharkin' than hot-rockin', but hey, those are just minor technicalities.

TCW is my favorite album, but AOB is in the top 10 too. Both are practically flawless records. I have an original copy of TCW on CD and the 2001 remaster of AOB. IMO the 2001 remasters sound good too so I’m not pressed about going out and buying an even cleaner version of an album that sounds good because it’s got a wee bit of rough around the edges.

They also did Tattooed Millionaire and Skunkworks, but I haven’t seen anything other than this Facebook post about it. I guess they’re on Amazon Music Unlimited and haven’t gotten CD releases like MBTP and AOB.

EDIT: Tidal and Apple Music apparently have them as well. And here’s the original announcement.

I think this is a bit of an unfair comparison. If he starts replacing Roy's guitar parts and fiddling the songwriting credits then we should worry. :lol:

The drums are polished, but I think AOB needs that rawer sound of the original (TCW too), in the rhythm too. Surprising choice for the cover.

Didn't Bruce say he was going to remix Wicker Man as well?

All in all, it makes the sound fuller, it's nice to hear it, but it's not the case of BTP. If the new album sounds like this, it would be better than TMP.

Did that actually start in context with the Mandrake Project touring, or some earlier time? I personally noticed for the first time that something was going on when it came clear that Roy wouldn't be part of Bruno's world tour in 2024.

It’s been intermittent over many years. Roy kind of screwed Bruce over on the Chemical Wedding tour, sticking him with a substitute guitarist at the last minute for a large block of it. Then he pulled out of the Mandrake tour after he’d already been announced as the touring guitarist. Roy has also always resented Bruce for not making him the producer on Brave New World, and over the years whenever Roy would get drunk he’d post mean-spirited shit about Bruce on Facebook and Instagram.

I think after this latest round of ungrateful shit regarding the Mandrake tour, Bruce finally decided enough was enough and he cut ties. Or Leana finally made him do it. Who knows…?
 
I’m intrigued about this remix. AOB is my favourite Bruce album.

I have the 25th anniversary splatter vinyl, but I rarely listen to it. It is noisy and I don’t like the order of the songs.

This always seemed to be passport or travel restrictions to me. I might be wrong, but anything else doesn't make sense to me.
