Hmmm, listening to the Scorpions' Can't Live Without You... I got myself thinking that it may have sparked Priest to write You've Got Another Thing Coming." That central backbone guitar rhythm at the beginning of the song sounds very similar to my ears. Also, the Scorpions' album was released several months earlier than Priest's. Maybe it's one of those not-so-rare instances when an artist saw and heard the seed of a possible song in another artist's creation and made it into a whole new, even better song. I prefer Priest's song over the Scorpions'.

 
The second album from Tuomas and his wife’s project, Auri. Very soothing and calming music. I can listen to that.

James Dean Bradfield - Even in Exile (2020)

Second solo album by the Manic Street Preachers' singer/guitarist, a concept album about the poet and activist Victor Jara, tortured and murdered in 1973 by Pinochet's fascist regime, with lyrics by the poet and playwright Patrick Jones (Nicky Wire's older brother). The album has a bit of everything: prog, folk, alternative rock... Very different to his first solo album but great nonetheless.

Awesome performance and superb sound, with such great production and mix that makes Nights of the Dead sound like a bad demo tape.

Which song is their Nothing Else Matters - November Rain or Don't Cry?

Overall, I'm indifferent to GNR, especially nowadays, but back in the '90s, when those videos were on heavy rotation on several music TV channels, they were pretty nice, I won't lie. In other words, these addicts know - or knew - how to write ballads, unlike Maiden - but Maiden are made of different material.

True metallers may shit on "Nothing Else Matters," but this song is dear to me. It's great in itself, and it shows Metallica's versatility and capabilities. The video is badass - those crazy motherfuckers look badass even while performing such a song, IMO.

Also, as a man from a non-English-speaking country, I perceive the overall vibe, aura, and attitude of a song first and foremost, rather than the lyrics directly. So I - we - may interpret songs a little differently. Not so much as the upfront "it's a song for James' girlfriend" interpretation - which in itself is nothing to be ashamed of - but something more existential.
