RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

What has convinced me to see another show next year is no plans for 2027 and who knows what happens after that. Time is short they won't be around much longer.
That's totally fair! After covid I decided to see each tour once when I can. If the setlist were to change I'd think about it, but seeing the same show twice isn't for me. More space for others to enjoy themselves though!

The 2026 program at the Pula Arena is almost complete. This was told to me by a concert organizer who has the possibility of getting some performers for 2026 and wanted to organize concerts at the Pula Arena. However, since he cannot confirm them until September 25th (the last date set by the people in Pula), he will probably have to do them at the Zagreb Arena. If Iron Maiden will play at the Pula Arena, it has already been agreed, the most likely dates are June 13th and 14th, but that's just my opinion.

I think 2027 concert break is last big break before end, than in 2028/2029 world tour (maybe last album tour)... and maybe one more after that, but I don't believe they will tour after 2030/2031. Nobody is getting younger.
Another album tour and a tour covering all albums/eras are the options.
Agree. But still I wonder why didn't they do a tour with semi focus on 1995-2021 or at least 2000-2021 (say LOTB promoted Blaze era). They easily could've done that: 10 reunion songs, keep last 6 songs from RFYL set. But I don't see that happening no more cause that would mean 2025-2029 for 1 tour, by far the longest (it would have 4 touring years, LOTB had 3). However, by 2035, I think Maiden would retire, with 1 (maybe 2, not probable) more album and some form of farewell tour.
Part 2 of RFYL, deep cuts tour, or Reunion tour are not that likely. Unfortunately, they had opportunities. Although who knows, they can't just play the same hits all over again in the next years, even with short tours. It's not Maiden, right. And it's 3 years from now on. For me, the perfect would have been:

2025: from the debut to Fear.
2026: from TXF/BNW to Senjutsu (and that could tick deep cuts in way).

So in the lastest Capnharris video, they speculate that this might be the final world tour, and the "no touring" year in 2027 is the indicator that the band might be done and turn into Slayer etc, with just random appearances throughout the years at festivals.. I hadn't really thought about it in this way, but they make some compelling points in the video

Also combined with Steve's comments about not being sure about another record..

All this to say, now I have to see them next year.

'compelling points' that are very likely statements of the obvious.
I'll never understand why channels like this become fonts of wisdom, they know nothing more than any of us.

The better analogy is AC/DC simply in terms of patterns of activity, given the scale Maiden want to top out as a guaranteed stadium band. AC/DC have been in 'bursts of activity with very long breaks' mode for some time now,

Not touring i dont see it. They are happy doing that and they have said that when they couldnt give a good show they will retire and thats not the case. I think thr 50 aniversary sounds like a final tour. I hope not. But the talk about a new record and some members want to doit is a hint that there are no talk about retirement i think and bruce and steve doing albums and tour with their solo band and park iron maiden? I dont see it. Its true that this is being ttalked but like final frontier was their last album and dance on death tour the last arena tour. And they are doing big stadiums now.

Yes they mention AC/DC also, I wouldn't mind that.

I agree with your other point, I didn't want it to sound like I think they know more than us, because I don't get why they're panicking over just a one year break from touring. I just wanted to share because I did not share the feeling that they had, and wanted to see if others here felt the same.

I agree on all points, glad I'm not alone in this.

Reading the word 'headline' as in 'a headline UK show' makes me think there might be a non headline show in the UK. Something like Download

Sounds plausible as Rod mentions the tour being based around most of Europe’s pre-eminent festivals.

On a press release-related note, Rod’s mention of not getting radio play back in the day makes me cringe. Maiden were played on MTV and many (mainstream) radio stations during their 80s heyday. Not as often as some big non-metal bands, but I definitely remember hearing Maiden songs on the radio in the late 80s.

Ive seen fear of the dark live at donington 92 and wickerman video on tv. But its true few cases and on the radio has to be metal radios. Guns n roses metallica nirvana were all over

It is true that they did not get the radio play time than Guns N’Roses or Metallica would get in the early 90s, but you could hear Iron Maiden songs played on Los 40 Principales in Spain in the late 80s and it does not get any more mainstream than that.

I just think all over again and again, and ... Maybe they do something like one gig off in the UK with some special guests. Probably at Milton Keynes Bowl with 65k capacity?! And what about Germany, only the one show this time? Maybe they will headline Rock am Ring/Rock im Park just after the Hannover stadium gig, but it collides with Sweden Rock Festival schedule (5 - 8 June). I thought they might headline Download Festival Germany as the very special show at Hokenheimring. Who knows. And what about the Balkans? I don't think they put an idea of playing here down. Maybe just two shows in Croatia and Serbia at the beginning of the whole leg? Arenas for sure, but is it strange they haven't announced the shows yet? No idea what it means...
