I do think at least 2 shows is still the sweet spot, its hard to take everything in the first time so going back again is always a thing I enjoy. Beyond that their isnt much point.

I always make it a point to catch the Chicago show and a show elsewhere in the states. Shame I couldn't make it work for Future Past considering how much I'd been wanting a SIT-centric show.

Agreed. I definitely overdid it on the UK leg of The Final Frontier tour in 2011. Five almost identical shows were too many (although, to be fair, I did not feel like that after four shows on the Somewhere Back in Time tour).

Same here,the last 3 tours i have done 2 gigs on each and it was great, i looked forward to the second gig just the same as the first one. I think mixing it up, standing then seated or indoor then outdoor if possible makes them both feel different too.

Were the SBIT gigs more spaced out and, presumable given the one UK date, in different countries?

I find 3 or 4 is fine, I definitely look back at tours where I went to one gig only and regret that I didn't make an effort to go to more. I did 6 over both legs of AMOLAD, and think that was probably too much, but the running order being the same as the album probably contributed to the, for want of a less negative word, monotonous nature of it.

I did Merida in Spain (11th July 2008) and then 3 in a row: Trondheim (22nd July 2008), Oslo (24th July 2008), and Gothenburg (26th July 2008).

On The Final Frontier tour I did Sheffield (24th July 2011), Nottingham (27th July 2011), Cardiff (1st August 2011), and both London shows (5th and 6th August 2011).
 
Yep it's definitely more enjoyable if there's time between the gigs, and you're kind of making a holiday out of them.

I'd certainly find going to say, something like when they did 6 nights in a row in Hammersmith, hard going.

Agreed. For the 2008 tour we had a long weekend in Merida and Lisbon and one week holiday in Norway and Sweden arranged around the gigs, and we did something similar in 2011, with an English/Welsh holiday including the first 3 gigs we saw (the London ones are local to us).

I have done two dates in a row in London a few times (2006, 2011, 2017, 2028, and 2023), but I am not sure I will be doing 3 or more gigs in a row at the same place.

I dont feel that its the same but the first that its doing almost the same is bruce. At least until 2019.

That's a great point. Also in the case of Stockholm, the first night they butchered Phantom, so it was nice to see the song without that the second night.

I did two nights in a row of Future Past 2024 and definitely felt like I had seen enough by the end (having also seen a show on the 2023 leg). The traveling aspect is fun but a Maiden show hits different when you know the Setlist, all the lighting cues, the Bruce rants, etc.
 
I would love to see Maiden in another country before they retire. I have been in the Netherlands for a few days and I always love visiting the country. That would be my first choice.

It is a really nice experience as one gets to see how other audiences react to their music and live shows in general.
 
Though I'm born and raised in Sweden and have lived here all my life, I am more excited to hear about tour dates in Copenhagen than I am to hear about tour dates in Stockholm - hell, maybe even Gothenburg too.

It's around 40 km to Copenhagen from where I am.
It's around 270 km to Gothenburg from where I am.
It's around 610 km to Stockholm from where I am.

Still I've caught them twice at each location. Stockholm would have been thrice had I not gotten sick on the Friday.
