RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Just a small report.

A friend of mine, who is a casual, just came from Prague concert and said: "hands down top 3 concerts of my entire life".

This guy is a metal freak - goes to every fucking metal concert you can imagine. He likes Maiden, but can be considered as a casual - he is more into thrash and black metal.

Anyway, he was really impressed. According to him, the highlight was ROTAM. His friends, who are even more casual fans than he is, were also incredibly impressed. They all had an amazing night.
Great to hear. This is the most 'metallica' that Maiden have gotten in terms of aiming more obviuosly for mass appeal and crowd pleasing in stadiums / festivals / arenas. Doing what the casuals would casually expect and enjoy. Not a bad thing, but a different thing..

Skimming through the videos it seems the stage show holds up rather well in a bright setting.
Well, to some extent (more the big screen), for the specific things shown on the screens, but every concert is better at night. For backdrops too (*TFP was looking cool in Wacken). Although it's almost the same.

Meanwhile:

The floor art is simple... interesting.

Prague was much better musically than Budapest I. H played silver Lado more again and all songs bar Aces High were very good.
The performances to get better is normal.

Like during WST. I wish the black Lado was on Live After Death. I wonder if he'll bring back the Goldtop Les Paul for this tour.
It again seemed to me like Seventh Son got a bigger applause than Mariner.
Curiously, I thought it's the other way around so far. The general reaction from the casual fans is probably not that enthusiastic for these two songs because they are long.

Is it just me, or Bruce is not engaging the audience this tour for the sections of songs he has done before, and comparing it with his solo tour.

I am pumped for London. I was giving my friends a song by song update when the setlist was being revealed. They were most excited for the ‘classics’. I don’t blame them. They are great songs. Sure I would have loved Infinite Dreams or some other deep cut, but I feel this tour is trying to cater for more casual fans with some epics and more obscure songs for fans like me. Hearing MITRM again and Killers for the first time are both moments I am looking forward to.

Yesterday’s Prague show was excellent, the band was in top form. The highlights of the night for me were definitely Killers, Clairvoyant, Powerslave, Rime, and Seventh.

The only slight disappointment, unfortunately, was the sound. I was standing all the way in the back near the stands, which I understand is probably not the best spot for ideal sound quality. However, I’ve never encountered this particular issue at a concert before. During some songs, it felt like someone was turning a knob for volume and sound effects back and forth. At times the sound was sharp and clear, other times muffled. Sometimes everything was loud, and other times quite weak. Unfortunately, I didn’t record any video, but if anyone filmed from the back or the stands, it might be audible somewhere.

All in all though, I was very happy with the setlist (I’d only consider changing Aces High), and I’m already looking forward to the next shows.

Oh and Bruce said we will see you again at the end of the Wasted Years, so possibly European leg in 2026?

I think Bruce mentioned something along the lines of there is still work to be done.
That was a curious comment. I wonder? I doubt they would use different videos/arts for the songs, although a lot is happening during Rime.

He usually says it. I would say more like for 2027, either with 3rd leg or a new album (Bruce may push for it, he kind of hinted at it in his new solo album booklet, or it was in general for live shows). I feel like such a big Hits tour with such a production would make them to do 3 years again (unfortunately, even with changes), otherwise the European leg in 2026 should only be a few dates. Like five instead of twenty. Anything can happen.

I’d be very surprised if Maiden are not one of the headliners of Download Festival in 2026.
