Eddie's Dive Bar

Maybe. It's on the way out to the venue in Manchester from where we're staying. That said there are a couple of other decent bars where Maiden fans are likely to congregate, and they serve things other than Trooper!

Think I'm probably going to go to it the night before the gig in Dublin, have different plans on the day of the gig and it will be probably rammed anyway

I was considering going to the London one, as I'm not going to the show I figured I could at least listen to it from the bar. But, not being a beer or wine drinker, it's sounding slightly less appealing now.

Maiden need to bring out a Trooper-brand cider <_<

I don't drink, but I might check out the one in Stockholm - it's within the vicinity of the arena anyway. Just for the vibes and moods and whatnot.

Has it been said it's Trooper and wine only? Can't imagine it would make any sense to do that

I assumed they served more, I was going by Brigs' post above, and the original announcement only specified they were serving Trooper and the wine.

Yeah, I'd be confident enough that they are probably just bringing bottles of Trooper and the wine to these venues and that other beers etc. that the venue usually serve will also be available.

I'd be surprised if Trooper is even on tap. A mate was in the Cart and Horses in December and they only had bottles, and if you look on the map of Trooper availability on the Robinsons website, it only seems to show supermarkets and off licences.

If I remember correctly, they had Trooper on tap at The Pilot Inn near the O2 Arena the last couple of tours Maiden played there.

Right, I didn't read the post closely enough, so it's a part of another venue. That makes more sense.

I would like to check this out at the London gig but with over 60k maiden fans descending on Stratford then I’m guessing this and the cart & horses will be absolutely mobbed so think I’ll give them both a miss. Plenty of other decent bars around the area.

We went to the Cart a few years back on a Maiden day and actually got a table, even if it was in the beer garden
Yes but the band were likely playing at the O2 which holds a crowd less than a third of the amount going to the London Stadium. Plus most fans would just head to the O2 to grab a beer, only a selection of hardcore fans would make a stop off at the cart and horses first.

With over 60k people all in Stratford to see Maiden the cart and horses this time will be absolutely rammed trust me.

Just been to Eddie's Dive Bar in Prague.
Absolutely awesome, great venue in a park, and a load of great beer available. Merch available, but not a Prague event shirt which I imagine will only be sold at the gig. And it was cheap - under £3 for a half litre of Trooper Saturn which is a specially brewed Czech lager. A tenner for a burger and fries etc. But the best thing was the atmosphere, absolutely rammed with Maiden fanatics, men, women, children and dogs, with the sun shining, wall to wall Maiden tunes and trees!
No way the Brit events will be as good IMO.

Sounds amazing. I'm planning on visiting the ones in Stockholm. But they're both gonna be indoors so I guess the vibes will be different, but I'm just excited that there's gonna be a place to hang close by the arena to get some Trooper beers and merch before the event.
