Some risks:

  • Alexander instead of To Tame A Land. Or something like Sea Of Madness.
  • Clairvoyant instead of Evil That Men Do (although I can see an early days song replacing it or Evil replacing a SSOASS song).
  • 2 Minutes instead of Wrathchild (only one of the 3 expected songs to be in the set - 2 Minutes, Evil, Wrathchild, although they can fit the latter and it feels like it's certain).
  • Be Quick (a fresh opener, so no Moonchild, Aces) instead of Afraid To Shoot Strangers as the 3rd 90's song.
  • no Running Free, Sanctuary (because they seem to dropped them in recent years) or more songs from the first 2 albums, there is no space. One of the 3 epics must be dropped for this.
  • Infinite Dreams (or another debut of a song) instead of Remember Tomorrow, Children, Powerslave, Boots (Clairvoyant is more popular?), Still Life (can't have all), Prowler (because I included Daughter), or Tailgunner/Wasting Love (no 4th 90's song, unfortunately), or Eagles.

Only the Good Die Young, Tailgunner, Still Life, Sea of Madness and Deja Vu would all be frigging awesome, but have zero chance. Nada. Niente.

I would not get too excited over that setlist, though.

This is definitely more songs than they usually play (18), but I’m thinking it’s very doable for them. This set is 1 hour and 42 minutes. I think the stage show will involve the evolution of Eddie in some way, which is why the songs are chronological.

I added Infinite Dreams because of the upcoming book, and removed Still Life because I figured Maiden might not want to bring it back because it’s slow and ballad-y. Still hoping for Still Life, From Here to Eternity, Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Judas Be My Guide, Loneliness, Deja Vu, or No Prayer. I’d be pleasantly surprised if Wrathchild was omitted in favor of another rarity.

They've gone back to Number of the Beast (Early Days), Powerslave (Ed Huntour, Somewhere Back in Time), Somewhere on Tour (Future Past), and Seventh Tour (Maiden England) for intro tapes, so I think World Piece tour intro might be a good choice this time. I think it would be the obvious choice for this tour if Nicko was still in the fold and in full strength, but with Simon I'm not so sure. I think they will go with Bring Your Daughter, Afraid to Shoot Strangers and Fear from the 90's albums, but I wouldnt be surprised if they went with Wasting Love as it is quite popular on streaming services. I expect Infinite Dreams, Phantom and Rime in the set. Evil That Men Do has not been played since 2019 so you can't skip it for this tour. Wasted Years as the only track from Somewhere in Time. 26 years since they did Killers so its time to bring it back.

I did a 17-song setlist because most of them are shorter ones and it's possible. I wanted to include Prowler, Acacia, No Prayer and some others but I played it safe. I actually included 0 songs from NPFTD, but I think Daughter might be played. I can see Where Eagles Dare being played and I really want it too, but I went with Revelations because Bruce loves it. Evil that men do or Clairvoyant will be played, maybe both actually, but I went with the latter, because Evil was played in 2019. The rest pick themselves.
