Dublin, 1st December 2003.
I was 17 at the time. Walked into the venue during the support act (Funeral for a Friend…) and dislocated my knee. This had happened once before (and 6 times since) while playing football and I had to get an ambulance to take me to hospital to put it back in. This...
Seen Bruce do a rendition of the William Tell Overture by slapping his cheeks in Dublin in 2005 when Steve's bass amp blew. That was pretty rare.
EDIT: Haha, YouTube has everything. Didn't think I'd hear this again... Skip to about 1:30.

It's about the making of Rust in Piece. That was one thing about his autobiography that annoyed me, he seemed to just skip over the biggest albums of his career. He talked more about Metallica than Rust in Piece.
Finally decided to do a guitar cover. So here's Rime of the Ancient Mariner. I'm playing all guitar parts and using the master tracks as my backing track with Adrian and Dave's tracks removed. I'm using Bias FX and Bias Amp for the guitar tones. Bias Amp has an awesome feature where you can tone...
Yeah. You can hear Jason's bass just fine (well, it's still a little low but it is there) during the clean guitar sections of the album. Most noticeably during To Live Is To Die.
Anyway, to stay on topic:
I don't like The Final Frontier (album) and rate it as the worst Maiden album. It is the...
I know all this. I'm not sure why you assume I don't. I did this track out of curiosity and thought I'd share. I'm not saying this is re-mixed and improved. It's nowhere near the original. I stated in the video description it's missing some rhythm guitar dubs, most noticeable in the intro. I did...
Yeah, the vocal audio file I got seems to have an echo on it which is much more pronounced than on the actual album. Not much I could do to fix it though, unfortunately.
And yes, to me that was the only time I felt compelled to put the synth back in! lol
What I'm about to show you is insanely blasphemous. Get your pitchforks ready...
I got the master tracks of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and made a version of it WITHOUT synths:
I always wanted to hear a version without synths and couldn't find any so gave it a go myself.
Infinite Dreams - the way they go back into the guitar harmony after the solos with Nicko rolling through his snare and toms then hitting the crash right on point.
Stranger In A Strange Land - guitar solo - when Adrian cranks it after the quieter part and the repeated bend gets lost in the mix...
Hitting Belfast twice on the one tour? Extremely unusual if it is supposed to LOTB.
Also, I hope Maiden realise there's a noise restriction at Ormeau Park. I went to see Slash at Belsonic last June (they were giving tickets away for free) and it was terrible. They even apologised for the sound...
Maybe my choice of words are a bit strong on that one. But I definitely can't stand it. For the record. I don't hate Pachendale, it's good. But I feel it would've been better if it was cut down a bit. IMO.
