Iron Maiden studio album 17 rumours and speculations

Oh, but the succeeding album was so much better, wasn't it? What was it called again? Somewhere in Thyme? ...yeah, that sounds about right.

Iron Maiden studio album 17 rumours and speculations know, that rumour of what the new album could be about doesn't necessarily entail it HAS to be about enviromental messages. It could just as well be about nature, which could mean we get stuff based on folklore and fairy tales. That would be pretty interesting, much more than another...

Hey, I don't want that either, but financially, that may be the best thing they can do or at least they think so. Remember, they don't earn much dough from their album releases. It's the live shows that bring in all the moolah. And the Legacy tour has been highly successful. Of course you would...

    Song vs Song

Thread revival, woo! Anyway, I guess I'll pick Overkill...? Had to listen to both one after the other for the first time now. Tarkus (Emerson, Lake & Palmer) vs Close to the Edge (Yes)

Your favourite Iron Maiden song credited solo to Dickinson?

Not going to lie, Empire has sunk in my rankings quite considerably in the past year. Now it's in the top 40, but nowhere near the the top 20 or top 30. There are various reasons as to why but mostly I think it's because the novelty of it has worn off for me.

    To Tame a Land

Ahem, as a lover of science fiction, the fact that this song is about Dune earns it major kudos from me. But that alone would mean nothing if the song wasn't good in any way. Luckily, To Tame a Land is a quite good song, bordering on really good. Steve's bass on this is the absolute highlight...

    Sun and Steel

Ah. Much better. Not that it was very difficult to be better than that last one. Alas, being much better than Quest for Fire means it's at least better than a sack of crap. What does it mean for the song on its own, though? Well, it's serviceable, there's nothing I hate here nor is there...
