You know what's way more awkward than I remember it being? Finding a decent barber shop. I've been going to the same place for over six years but he's had to close for renovations so now I need to find somewhere else <_<

rate all 17 Maiden albums best to worst

TBoS is my second favourite Maiden track, Hell on Earth just cracks my Top 10. I think the first halves of both albums are pretty equally consistent, and you can make a really strong "Side A" out of their best tracks: If Eternity Should Fail Stratego The Writing on the Wall The Red and the...

    Judas Priest

I'd hope that Andy and Richie played the trade-off solos between them, rather than Richie playing them all. Andy is no slouch but songs like Painkiller and One Shot At Glory have Richie playing both solos and I think they lose something by doing so.

    Rush

I don't disagree with them using the name, but is a little strange, though. It seems the reason Rush retired is because of Neil, so even if his family have given their blessing, it's not hard to wonder if Neil were still alive, would he really have wanted to return to Rush? And you can't even...

    Rush

I'm torn. I'm disappointed Rush are another band to say they're gonna call it quits and bow out gracefully, only to come back with a new tour later. Even though I sincerely doubt there's any greed or ulterior motive behind this and it is a genuine celebration of and urge to play Rush's music...

    Megadeth

It's certainly Megadeth. It's the first new 'deth song I've heard since 7h1rt33n and it's not making me feel like I've missed much.

What are you talking about? Ian's bass sounds perfect on that album, here, take a listen.

    Judas Priest

He is functional, reliable and does exactly what is required, no more, no less. But, yes, not very exciting.

    Judas Priest

I would imagine Ian Hill doesn't feel much stress during the songwriting stage, considering he hasn't written a song since 1974

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Smaller bands can also be completely forgotten about and audiences will quickly move on if they don't keep up a regular album release schedule.

    Guitar Pedals

Ooh, I've been eyeing those up, I have an old Digitech DropTune I'm wanting to replace as it gets pretty muddy and artificial-sounding. Let us know how the Boss sounds!

Curious fact about Maiden's songs titles

So I missed a couple, I copied and pasted a list of titles and expanded on it, Drifter and Journeyman shouldn't be on there. Lord of Light I had a vague awareness of previously existing, the only other instance of it I could think of without Googling it was a line from If Eternity Should Fail...

Curious fact about Maiden's songs titles

Here's a question for ya, how many Maiden song titles are completely unique, as in not taken from some form of media, history, common (or semi-common) phrase or location? Here's my findings, I'll exclude all of the "The X" titles, as none of them use any unique words. Iron Maiden - Strange...

    General album artwork appreciation

^ Beautiful stuff, reminds me of John Martin's epic, apocalyptic style. The Seventh Plague of Egypt: Destruction of Pompeii and Herculaneum: Belshazzar's Feast: His piece The Fallen Angels Entering Pandemonium was used for Angel Witch's debut album.
