The dude from Ghost is Swedish, he's the only other non-Yank I can think of. Though I fully expect Priest would've been there if they weren't touring.

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

You can't blame people for being tetchy and irritable about this subject. It rears its ugly head every now and then just to recycle the same talking points, there's nothing new to say about it from either side and, as you will know, the discussion can become needlessly disrespectful and...

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

The three-part harmony after the solo sounds just fine to me without a rhythm track under it.

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

Great, we're having the "why is Janick still in Maiden" discussion for the billionth time in thirty-plus years. A band known for their harmony lines chooses to add a third harmony line live. Wild.

The best five short rockers Maiden have done since 1990?

Interesting way of looking at it, how so? I'd say it fits the "short rocker" description better than most other post-reunion short rockers, and has a very typical structure for a shorter song, especially compared to some other short rockers which have one verse then go off on a bit of a...

What's the worst Maiden song where the songwriting credit only has (Harris)?

10 minutes is definitely excessive, but I wouldn't go as short as the single version, I'd like it if it were 6, 7 or even 8 minutes.

What's the worst Maiden song where the songwriting credit only has (Harris)?

The wave of votes for The Angel and The Gambler is bonkers, there are far worse songs on this list than one that simply goes on a bit too long. I would choose to listen to Angel over a fair few of these songs, like Drifters, Invaders, Quest for Fire, Another Life or DLTEOAS.

It also says (in French) "mixed by Andy Sneap" at the start ;)

Kevin Shirley - What do you dislike about his work with Maiden? (if you do)

Relistened to this killer album today and thought this is more what I'd like Maiden to sound like, rather than an Invincible Shield/Firepower-esque sound. It's punchy, powerful and clear but lacks Sneap's pristine cleanliness, it's still got a bit of grit and rawness. (Also a good opportunity...

    Battle of the unsingable choruses

I think it was @Jer that originally pointed this out, but it's the same melody as the guitar intro of Welcome to the Jungle. Once I made that connection I couldn't unhear it <_< Other than that I do quite like the song, copy-and-pasting and all.

    Battle of the unsingable choruses

Mother of Mercy! Angel of Death's desirMother of Mercy, taking my last breath of firMother of Mercy! Angel of paaaain! Mine too, but not so much for the chorus. I don't like the last line of the intro when he sings "I'm a soldier of wAaAaAaR!!", sounds like he's playing a ghost going...

What are the top 5 worst Maiden songs?

Bring Your Daughter I think is only bad in comparison to Bruce's version. Bruce's is slower, moodier, dirtier, slinkier, and I love Janick's bright, twangy guitar tone. Maiden's take loses a lot of the attitude and the guitar tones suck.

Poll: Mission From 'Arry vs Age of Innocence (How Old?)

Mission From 'arry is a unique number in Maiden's discography. It has great energy, some really introspective lyrics and powerful performances from Nicko and Steve. It's also the best song Nicko received a writing credit for. Age of Innocence (How Old?) is still better than the album version...

And From Here to Eternity and Wasting Love, two I'd place above Childhood's End. So it's at least seven :ok:
