Iron Maiden Sells Half of Their Catalog, Name And Likeness Rights to Pophouse Entertainment

A virtual show could be cool only if they amped up the Eddie theatrics to overload settings, pretty much. Every song there's some Eddie, and always something to look at. As for the comic, I wasn't impressed. It reminded me a little of the old Evil Ernie stuff from the Chaos! Comics days, and I...

    Blaze Bayley

The BLAZE years were a revelation for how he could sound on a record with a top-notch producer. On TXF and VXI, he's given few favors when it comes to dressing up his performance the way Andy Sneap was able to, which gave a good-but-limited singer an aura of power. On the Maiden records--though...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Yep, he's competent enough to keep the ship upright. I believe all of us would've loved a big move like Rush made in finding a substitute for Neil Peart, but honestly? I think most would agree (not demand you agree ;) )the last upgrade we got from this band when it comes to a brand new member...

Aaaaaand chalk me up as another to the growing list of members adding him to the Ignore list. Yep, he's accomplishing a lot by spamming his facts opinions all over the place. The last douchey response made it easy.

Dude, you have a thread dedicated to this subject. People can debate you there. Meanwhile, you've eaten up pages of this thread doing exactly what your other thread is meant to do, and it's going nowhere.

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Exactly how many more years do you think these guys who are ALL at retirement age plan on recording and touring? It would be one thing to bang this drum for a band in their collective thirties. Steve is the boss, and at this VERY LATE stage in their career, he's prioritized having a drummer he...

Songs considered a "filler" track you actually do enjoy?

You can't possibly mean "when swamps and caves WAAAH HOOOOOOOOME!!!" That's about as perfect as Maiden gets, brah. :nana:

I agree. I would imagine there's a clause in the agreement that the band gets final say in a lot of matters while the band itself is active. After that, I would expect Pophouse's authority and control over the brand to broaden.

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

It's weird, since apart from the ongoing Kiss Avatar show they're developing, I haven't seen any more than the normal amount of exploitation of the Kiss brand than Gene and co. have been doing since Day 1. They've got a new (old) live album coming out soon from '76, but have also seemingly ended...

Iron Maiden Sells Half of Their Catalog, Name And Likeness Rights to Pophouse Entertainment

It was cool to see old pieces all together, but the presentation on some of it was odd, to say the least. I mean, the SSOASS iceberg pieces and Clairvoyant candle sculpts still in braced trolleys rather than properly displayed? Not terribly important pieces, but still reeks of, "oh, good enough."

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

I imagine some thought was given to the encore having mostly appeared on Live After Death, as Maiden England's set was mostly all-new or non-LAD-appearing material. The same consideration was given to the release of A Real Live One, where you could get a live album with songs that weren't on the...

    Your current Maiden ‘kick’

I'm typically pretty anti-AI when it comes to a lot of things. However, seeing the absolute bonkers things it can do as far as video and imagery, you'd think AI could take the underlying performance of a show like this (or Paris '86) and polish it up to soundboard quality...or in the case of...

I'm just glad none of them have gone the Mark "make me look like a 1960s-era GI Joe figure" Mendoza look.

    News 18th Studio Album discussion

Yeah, it was really haphazard how he arranged it and it seemed like, "eh, good enough" by the end of it. He seemed to just be in the moment of being an entertainer for the people in his restaurant. While some thought was put in here and there (AMOLAD being #1, for instance), I'm doubtful it's...
