The Man Who Would Be King
You mean like Best of the B Sides? I don't like how that's not fully comprehensive, so I made my own extra compilation which I titled "Best of the Rest of the B Sides". It's got every B Side not included on the official one, though I left out live versions of songs...
So this summer my friend (named Aaron, how excellent for puns) and I went to see a few Maiden shows around Europe. We filmed a lot of it with a crappy little camera for larks, and I just made a one minute teaser for the finished product. It's centred around our chance meeting with a special...
I've now seen them five times, but since four of those were this year and had the same setlist, I've only seen 25 tracks live.
Different World (x1)
These Colours Don't Run (x5)
Brighter Than a Thousand Suns (x1)
The Pilgrim (x1)

Aside from Maiden and Bruce, Queensryche are the only band I'm really really passionate about. The three of those regularly switch places in the top three.
Still have an awful lot of listening to do before a concrete opinion is formed, but for now:
1. When the Wild Wind Blows
2. Coming Home
3. The Talisman
4. Mother of Mercy
5. Satellite 15... The Final Frontier
6. Isle of Avalon
7. The Alchemist
8. Starblind
9. El Dorado
10. The Man Who Would Be...
A Matter of Life and Death. A full album of real world lyrics with depth and profundity that will always be miles better than the fantasy/myth/storytelling lyrics that supplied the bulk of the soi-disant "classic era". Don't get me wrong I love all of those songs too but they have nothing on the...
The Wicker Man
Brave New World
Blood Brothers
The Thin Line Between Love and Hate
Dance of Death
Paschendale
These Colours Don't Run
Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
For the Greater Good of God
The Legacy
Mother of Mercy
Coming Home
The Talisman
When the Wild Wind Blows
Surprisingly easy...
I listen to TFF when I'm at home on surround sound. Recently, it's been Iron Maiden, Killers, and Powerslave on the mp3 player when I'm out. Not really sure why...
Oh, it simply has to be Rock in Rio. As well as the setlist being excellent, particularly the Bruce renditions of Blaze era material, the crowd is astounding. I've listened to that album so many times that I find myself screaming out the things Bruce says in it during modern performances. The...
The Man Who Would Be King
I remember first listening to the album and really enjoying certain songs but wishing they'd hurry up so I could get to listen to When the Wild Wind Blows. I had some pretty big expectations, having heard so much about it and seen the movie too. Amazing how they...
MadMax's link is not what I heard at all. It's quite possible I'm actually thinking of another radio station's interview that I heard yesterday. Whoops! This one sounds interesting, listening now.
That was a really awful waste of my time listening to that. Very little new information, and at least twenty minutes of the "hour interview" was just the songs.
I don't think brilliant and cheesy are mutually exclusive. I just sometimes find myself shaking my head at that one word. Who knows, could well be my flaw rather than the lyrics.
