TFF was an album tour --how are these two tours related? This is exactly what Forostar is saying.
No we don't.but do we need entire tours (going on for years, as Foro points out) to support the sparse older material that's actually getting played on these tours?
They have more touring left than recording & releasing, that's for sure.I think they've all (the songwriters that is) got years of material left in them, that they could be recording & releasing. Maybe not though.
Another one who doesn't care about a new album in the near future. Essentially, that's what you say. If they keep doing the same tour, then they won't have an album (if they would; then they sure would play something from it; and then the tour is not the same).I'm just glad they will still tour... whatever the setlist may be.
Really? I don't think that's good enough! At least you got the apostrophe into "Who's" & your capital letters...[...] not possible to edit topic titles, I'm afraid.
No, that's not what I said. What I meant was: ever since I started listening to Maiden, which would be around the release of AMOL&D, people have been saying that their next tour is their last and their latest album is their last. So I'm just happy that I got to see them live and will probably see them live again. Another studio album would be great, but I wouldn't die without it.Another one who doesn't care about a new album in the near future. Essentially, that's what you say.

Bearfan, Janick said what he said (and no word was in Spanish), and he doesn't want to look back, he doesn't want to play old songs. Have you heard that fragment? I am sure that what Maiden is doing, falls under the criteria of his wording.
I see. But don't you mind if Maiden would do the same instead of being creative? Did Kiss or Black Sabbath even do this? Three years in a row, doing the same? Thanks!
I don't think they have done it before that. 1993 and 1999 were special reasons and moreover: fairly limited tours. Who knows he also opposed one of these tours, but I can imagine that he had more understanding with those than with what followed later. Sorry, that is bad English. That is not what I remember, an I am not doubting he said it if you say so, but they have been doing this since that quote and even before it. I take the general meaning still as not becoming a full time "heritage act" which Maiden has clearly not become.
It is.But if they tour into a third calendar year --this will be different. Again, is this not Foro's point.
We're not sure but I am preparing ourselves mentally (or at least myself ;-).Kiss has been doing the same (essentially, swap out a song or two here and there) since 1996. Are we really sure Maiden will be doing this 3 years in a row. I would not be surprised if they did and took ME to Asia, but it is not confirmed.

Ofc, I'd prefer a studio album over another tour. But since they already said they won't release a new album in 2014, why not play some more shows, even with the same setlist?I see. But don't you mind if Maiden would do the same instead of being creative?
It must not bother him that much or he is happy with how they are doing it since he is still doing it. edit: Kiss swapped their songs. But did they never take a break? I guess I should take a look at their tour history.
True. And I do not want to see "my" favourite band to walk the easy path. Well, in a way, it's not easy, since they'd get some criticism.
It isn't my band of course, but I really do not understand why they would "waste" these years. They're not realizing that they're living in their golden (and final!) years.
