What a round. First match goes easily to Kill the King. Night of the Demon is great and a kind of different song too. I remembered it from one of the previous games. Kill the King just outguns it in every aspect imo.

Burning Angel freaking rips man, maybe I'm supposed to listen to more Arch Enemy? Nothing really groundbreaking, but the singer is crazy and the riffs are huge. Slick solo too. This goes to Amon Amarth despite all that, Twilight of the Thunder God is a perfect melodeath song with one of the best choruses in metal. It really took everything from me to not sing along here in the middle of the night lol.

Jurassic Cretaceous was one of two songs I immediately added to my list (the other one was Language). It has everything that isn't a solo and it nails that everything so perfectly. If the coolest main riff of the Mesozoic won't get you (wtf??) then Jonas Renske in the bridge will, and if he won't then the tremolo riff will (I never saw it coming). Very addictive song and it flies by. Home is the best song on SFAM, so this wasn't an easy choice at all. The instrumental section isn't quite as fantastic as the rest of the song so that was the tiebreaker.

Somehow Earthshine was my least favourite song this time. Still very good, it has strong melodies and vocals, but it didn't draw me in that much. I definitely liked the rotting horse song more. The Weedmen starts slow (lol), but it builds its identity. Bone fucking crushing nasty stuff. I loved the riff that came in at around 5 minutes in, and the chorus, but it was really all good. Though I admit it lost me a little towards the end, but that depends on the weather more than anything. It also reminded me of Mastodon for some reason lol, and of Devin Townsend's Bastard, which I can make more sense of, there are some similarities in the chorus. Still funny :P something something Ocean Machine something it's all connected something
