News Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Leana's heart is just as wrinkled as her face (without Photoshop). I'm not saying this to insult anyone, I have no interest in doing so, and why would I?
I am just saying this because it always baffled me endlessly that someone as educated and smart as Bruce, so famous, so rich, ends up with such an attitude and such a person, e.g., making totally ignorant assessments about Brexit, etc.

Honestly, we ’ve had countless evidence Bruce is not as smart and clever he ’d like us to think. I have never bought the "Renaissance man" bullshit.

of course, why would it?
after all, all you're doing is enabling and funding far right ideas, hate and racism.
i know that caring and standing up for your principles is kind of a radical idea for the majority, but by keeping silent and "not caring" we just allow these ideas to spread.
I really hope you save the world from fascism by stopping listening to your favorite band ever because the singer said "Greek cunt" and his wife is a troglodyte. But I'm afraid your effort will be futile. Luckily, it is never too late to keep listening to a band you adore, to still cherish what that artist has accomplished, and to share the joy he has given to the whole world.

of course I still listen to Maiden, of course I still love their music. They've been the soundtrack of my life for the past 45 years.
But that does not mean I'll give them any more money or support.
That does not mean, I'll blindly follow them.
And that does not mean I won't hold them to very high standards.

This is what your favorite band, not any of their wives, actively projects as their public stance:

I am too bored to see the video, but saying one thing on stage and another at your interviews, comments or whatever, in my book it is called hypocrisy!

I'm sorry you are too bored to give a click and listen to the 6-seconds fragment I carefully looked for and selected to help you restore your faith.

But for anyone who might be intrigued by the oversimplification of Brucie's attitudes...

Here is Bruce Dickinson talking about Burning Ambition and praising Javier Bardem (well-known for his public left-wing political stances, his support for Palestine and his criticism of Israel and Donald Trump):

“For me the show stopper was Javier Bardem reading the lyrics of Run To The Hills as if it were a poem. You realize why that guy is such a great actor is because he can deliver the clauses and the lines with dramatic effect. But also it made me sit back and go ‘you know what, we’ve written some pretty cool words over the years'”.

That probably didn't go down well at home, right?

sorry but I fail to see why it wouldn't go well with me. he says absolutely fuck all about politics. he just praises the actor and his skills.

I see your point, but Bruce certainly does not embrace Bardem's political views; he is just happy that a world class actor praises Maiden's words.

I mean that that wouldn’t go down well at Brucie’s home.
@Eduardo Cabeza While I do not completely agree with @Aggelos, would your opinion of Bruce have changed if he had referred to someone in the audience as “Puto español de mierda”?
“Cabrón español” would indeed be more accurate. And no, I wouldn’t be offended by a heated rock star with some diva tendencies and lung protection paranoia (which is not surprising since it’s not the first time this has happened, he is on a world tour, and he has recently suffered from throat cancer).
I would take “cunt” as an insult (well-deserved by the cunt who lit the flare) and “Greek” as a demonym which, due to a previous incident, he associates with the fact that someone is once again holding a flare in Greece.

The truth is he fucked up, but he admitted it in his own Bruce-sometimes-I-can-be-a-wanker way.

In the Rock Hard Greece interview, he admitted that he lost his temper, said that he should not have done it, and mocked himself, noting that he probably got the fan's nationality wrong. He said it without any drama because, to these guys, this whole “event” is not a big deal. They come from a time when PC wasn't even a computer.

These are nuances that I believe should be taken into account when defining someone who has earned our admiration over many years for multiple reasons.

Concerned about the damage caused to the fans and his public image, he played a few verses and choruses of «Alexander The Great» in Greece as a special treat, singing with the Greek fans karaoke-style. Some might consider this hypocrisy. I think it’s pretty cool.

To further illustrate my point regarding the infantilization of his attitudes, I’d like to add that Bruce has featured Brexit critics, as well as left-wing and progressive guests, on his podcast. Like his remarks about Javier Bardem, this proves that Dickinson respects people beyond their political perspectives—something that we, the leftist guardians of political correctness, sometimes fail to do.

Avoiding the simplification of human complexity is the key to the future.

Nah, as I said he says fuck all about politics, just praises the actor and his skills...

At the time I was pissed off with the British cunt and in some ways I still am, but that is not my main problem with him. My main issue is the political comments, the praise for Israel, by his wife, which he did not condemn, the constant praising of the armed forces which in modern era are pretty much state sanctioned glorified killers who are not defending the home country, but used as attack tools to invade others. There's also Brexit and the hypocrisy of him supporting it and then like almost all prominent Brexiteers fucking off to live in another country.

Nah, this has been done before. Many times. Not a special treat, pretty much the norm for Greek concerts by Maiden and Bruce.

something that we, the leftist guardians of political correctness, sometimes fail to do.

Failing to do something, means you tried and failed. I do not care to extend any kind of respect towards people belonging to extreme right. They do not deserve my respect.

Avoiding the simplification of human complexity is the key to the future.

Tolerating far right is most definitely not they key to the future, complex or not.

And that is why, as a bilingual speaker, I am letting you know that calling someone a cunt in English is much worse than calling someone cabrón in Spanish. :)
I’m also a bilingual speaker, born and living in Spain, and an English-to-Spanish translator. @dickinson1978 is absolutely right. “Cunt” has tons of different levels of offensiveness. “Cabrón español” is correct. “Puto español” would be closer to “fucking Spaniard”.
