The opening track Machine Messiah in places has a very Maiden-like feel - especially in the rhythm section and bass playing, very much in the style of Steve. What a great track!
Well Steve and Bruce like the band, Bruce was talking about a Yes-like intro part to a new solo song. Curious...

I also really like their approach to the painted album covers by Roger Dean. It creates continuity and a whole visual universe that complements the music. I kind of regret that Rush didn’t take a similar approach with their album covers, because their music would suit that kind of visual identity very well.

Right now I’m listening to “Heart of the Sunrise” from the Fragile album by Yes, and throughout the track I can definitely hear influences that seem to have carried over to Steve. That fast, whirlwind rhythmic drive feels similar to parts of “Phantom of the Opera” or other tracks from the debut album.
