News Burning Ambition Documentary

Hi GhostofCain, the secret is out! Yes sir that is me, I made the cut rather than the cutting room floor, very very proud indeed. I am looking forward to telling the story of my experience with the documentary crew and understandably cannot wait to watch it!

I recognised you the moment I watched the clip. :) Can’t wait to hear about your experience the moment you are allowed to tell us.

That is so cool that you are part of this! Congratulations for the opportunity, @Helmuth Von Moltke!

I'm just going to go to the theater with no expectations with the intention of watching a documentary about my favorite band with a cinema experience. I'm not hyping myself up with any expectations of what it should be and contain and risk coming away disappointed or let down.

At my local movie theater, 30 out of 200 tickets have already been sold. Not bad, considering how long there’s still to go.
However, it doesn’t seem to be the right choice for couples. None of the couple seats have been booked. :D
Lies. This movie is going to be a TOTAL FLOP! Rod must be sacked. It's all over for Maiden. @Helmuth Von Moltke you must be embarrassed to be involved in such a disaster.

- @Nomadd probably.

There will be two screenings at my local Odeon cinema.

Tickets sold for the first one: 0/238
Tickets sold for the second one: 20/238

Maiden fans do not like films being screened at 16:50.

I went to the cinema for a morning showing of a Bluey film with my daughter. Baring in mind it’s the Easter holidays, the cinema was empty. It was just two of us. People are just not going to the cinema as much as they used to. I would say 20 people for a documentary about a band is pretty good.

Same, movies are scarcely attended here in my town.

I've only been to a movie theater a handful of times in the last decade or so. I can no longer expect a group of strangers to show proper behavior/etiquette. People these days can't leave their damned phones alone.

The other day I saw a girl trying to catch her school bus and she was looking at her phone while running....just wild.

It is definitely better than 0!

Thanks guys, all really really appreciated!

A quick note on how I got involved: some years ago while limping through my doctoral studies, I tried to cheer myself up by writing psuedo academic articles on metal. The first on how metal music portrays themes of warfare. The second on metal music as a channel for male aggression. And third, the creative self expression of Maiden vs Metallica. None related to my subject but I got them all published.

Probably only read by a tiny number of people who read 'Metal Music Studies' journal!

Unbeknown to me the documentary researchers for a project entitled 'Nature of the Beast' read at least the first article online and emailed me to speak further in 2024. My involvement grew from there... (NOTB Films LTD is listed on the movie poster by the way).

I haven't seen it yet of course! Fans who are featured may just get a short comment in the final edit, I have no idea. I met the crew and director and I was impressed by their approach. And how inquisitive they were about things we take for granted. So high expectations for the film.

... Only the true Messiah denies His divinity. HE IS THE MESSIAH!

Would you mind linking to your pseudo academic articles? Sounds like a fun read!
